This is the original, and not Sloppy Joe's in Key West as many believe. It was reopened in 2013 after 48 years. Very nice is the classic bar counter. In the background, one can see a pretty decent (for Cuban standards!) selection of spirits. The...More

A nicely restored establishment with decent food and tapas. I had the "Cuban sandwich" and shrimp tapas, the sandwich was huge, I could only eat half of it, gave the rest to my bicycle taxi operator. Many photos of old-time entertainers, like Frank Sinatra when...More

This is worth the time to visit and try the food. I had to try the sloppy joe. While walking old Havana, it was a good place to go in, cool off, have a drink and some food and relax. You'll enjoy the old pictures...More

Stopped for drinks. A little less crowded the La Bodeguita del medio. And La Floridita. Drinks were a great price and delicious. Also had an Elena Ruz sandwich which was delicious

Food was terrible, one of our group got sick! Rest of us were ok but just thought food was awful. Go for a drink if you must but don’t eat there.

If you don’t want to be “too local”, sloppy joes is place to go. Food is good and plenty of cocktails and drink choices. In the hotel plaza area, and filled with mainly tourists. Give it a visit, to view old photos and history.

A vintage must see in Havana. Well worth it to taste the "Sloppy Joe", not quite like ours, but loved the surprise green olive in the Joe.
