I've given this a rating of 3 out of 5, but that's purely because the venue was quite empty when we went. The showgirls are great and full of energy, but the vibe in the crowd was lacking and that's what stopped this from being amazing. However, like I've mentioned in the title, if you like rum then you are... More

Our day tour of Santiago de Cuba included lunch at one of several restaurants ... state-owned and private. Our group happened to land at Tropicana Santiago. The restaurant was beautiful ... high ceilings, white walls, and enormous glass and stained-glass windows. Lovely! The lunch was a buffet of salad items, fresh carved pork, fish, and shredded beef, breads/rolls, rice and... More

This was a really good evening. The show was first class, costumes dazzling, and show varied and high quality. You get the show and each table had a bottle of rum, coke and some nibbles. The rum was very nice. Just one point, if you can book your table have one on the ground floor as these face the stage,... More

Nice place, very elegant and extraordinary service. Good for post dinner cabaret and disco. Price for cocktail, bottle of rum quite cheap, normal in Cuba. To enter they asked me 25 cuc, like one cuban monthly salary: I think too mich also for tourists.

Cabaret Tropicana Santiago's show bears the title of "Viaje al Caribe" Rhythm, where colorful stages, lots of sensuality and Caribbean flavor mix to form a memorable experience. Tropicana Santiago is a legitimate expression of the Caribbean essence, its nature, its "sauce", it is a panoramic journey of the Cuban culture itself, unique in many ways.

We went to the Tropicana as highly recmmende by our Cruise company. I have to say we were sadly disappointed . It felt 'tired' and not very exciting. The dancers looked bored with their routines and the costumes rather faded at times. The dancers did not seem happy and failed to get the audience 'going' .The audience semed to be... More

Santiago de Cuba was a fun. It wasn't as busy as some of the other parts of Cuba. I would love to go back there. One tip is don't walk around the city without wearing a shirt. You can read more about my trip on newimprovedlife.com http://newimprovedlife.com/2015/01/15/travels/

The Santiago Tropicana is known for two separate things: one is the Santiago version of the cabaret night club act featuring the traditional scantily clad dancers, etc. This takes place in the large open air amphitheater. The other feature is the discotheque that is also located in the same complex, in a smaller, separate enclosed space. Some of the hotels... More
