The museum is only in Spanish, but the views from the fort is spectacular! So if you can't any Spanish just go up on the roof and enjoy the views and be amazed.

This place is a must see while in Santiago de Cuba. Entrance is cheap and place is well preserved. Although it's smaller than the "Morro" in Puerto Rico, you should have take a look at it. It will not take more than half an hour to see it. Has a nice view of the sea and you can take great... More

It's a little hike here but it is totally worth it. Pay attention to where you are walking, as I took a spectacular fall here which I was sure had ruined my entire Cuban vacation. If you want to take any pictures while inside or of the view, there is a fee, a couple CUC. Sorry couldn't stay around for... More

Going in the evening you will see the ceromony of the cannon. This is not to be missed. It is spectacular in its simplicity.

We stopped here during a day out to Santiago de Cuba. Our guide provided a tour of the castle, which was very interesting. The views from the castle are worth the stop. By the castle's entrance there is a street market with lots of different souvenirs, and also a restaurant.

Our visit to San Pedro de la Roca del Morro Castle was one of the most memorable attractions visited on our People to People tour from the Celestyal Crystal cruise ship. Our tour guide Raul Gonzales did an excellent job of guiding us through the site and explaining the castle’s background, significance and construction. I recommend you wear a hat... More

Well worth stopping by if you are in Santiago. It was $4 pesos to enter and kids were free. There is so much history in the castle and many very cool things to see both inside and out. Our kids enjoyed wandering through the castle and because they had researched it before our visit were already familiar with the history... More

If you aren't impressed by the amount of planning and effort it took to build this place try climbing up the side from the water just once. Massive doesn't begin to describe it, worth about 2 hours. (Look for the free divers in the bay below collecting marine life, some of which you could see at dinner later.)
