We stopped in on our last evening in Varadero and picked up a beautiful ceramic seahorse and plate. I wish it had of been day time so we could have went in to the gallery that I am seeing pictures of now. ;)

...but bring a fat wallet. Some of the nice items were several over 100 CUC (about $130 Canadian at the time). We have some very nice small pieces and would like to have bought more but the process can be scary.

My friends and I just walked in one night and were welcomed with beautiful artworks! As soon as we would pick up a piece of art, we were approached right away with a sales pitch.

We really enjoyed the little gift shop, very beautiful works by the local artists, yery talented. Also equally enjoyed walking around the workshop which was attached, and watching the local artists at work.

This is a professional art studio. There are high quality ceramics and other art for sale. Don't know if they allow visitors to use the wheel or take classes.
