Add this once-in-a-lifetime golf experience to your “must play” list...

Add this once-in-a-lifetime golf experience to your “must play” list located within the Santa Barbara Planation. Designed by the legendary golf architect Pete Dye, the par 72 Old Quarry Golf Course draws its name from the historic quarries where famed Curaçao marble is mined. If you’re looking for a phenomenal getaway, our golf course is the perfect choice. Pete Dye's championship seaside layout was designed to fit seamlessly into the islands's hills and valleys. A challenge to players of all skill levels, the course meanders between the stunning blue Caribbean Sea, the slopes and hills of the Tafelberg Mountain and the sheltered bay known as Spanish Water. To assure it would be built true to the conservation principles of Santa Barbara's owners, Pete Dye's son P.B.Dye along with the Golf Manager, Jim Bolinger, planted its fairways and greens with the hearty Paspalum grass, which can be irrigated using both brackish and recycled water. A handsome clubhouse and restaurant answer golfers' needs and provide a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea.

Beautiful golf course

The course is beautiful, but it was quite expensive. The course is well maintained and the pro shop is top notch.

This is a long windy course. My husband and I golfed 7 times there during our stay at the Santa Barbara resort. I'm a newish golfer, just 2 years, my ball is low and fairly straight so I found the course quite good for my game. Many of the greens are raised up but I was able to reach them... More

In the 7 visits to Santa Barbara over the last years we have played the course several dozens of times. Always amazed with the superb condition it is in. Hence always a joy to play. Does not bore us yet and we will definitely be back.

I'm not a great golfer by any means but I know a great course when play it. The greens are meticulous and the fairways are pristine. The rental clubs are of great quality and each cart is outfitted with a cooler with ice, nice touch for those hot days. I will play this course again if given the opportunity.

well maintained, even in a dry year, a cart is a must, far between holes, very challenging altho I am not a good golfer so may be easy for most. no pressure or delays, got 18 holes in under 3.5hrs

A beautiful course and you must go and play and enjoy the wonderful views. The staff are friendly but you cannot even get a coffee or a drink. The bar is closed and the toilets were dirty. The proshop staff said we had a buy drinks because there was no water on the course. So we bought water - the... More

Some really nice and challenging holes, a few alongside the ocean, a few inland. Overall very well kept with fairly fast greens compared to European courses.

Last year we spent my birthday in Curacao. My wife and I are avid divers and my brother-in-law is an avid golfer. I enjoy golf as well. For my birthday my brother-in-law bought me a very nice Old Quarry shirt. I never had a chance to wear the shirt because a couple of weeks after returning home I found myself... More

We played 3 times as part of a golf package holiday and were planning to book a few more rounds (we were staying in the Hotel next door). However we were fairly shocked at the condition of the fairways and for greens and told the manager it wasn't wort the $140 they charge hotel guests. He just shrugged his shoulders... More

Recently traveled to Curacao for vacation and took one day to play golf. The Santa Barbara golf course was one of the best island courses I have had the pleasure of playing. The staff was very helpful and informative. For an island course next to the sea, conditions were for the most part slightly below perfect. If you like tight... More
