There were several places to visit in Punda like the Governor's Palace and the floating market. Taking pictures from the Queen Emma bridge was like a postcard picture. We enjoyed the floating market with variety of fruits and vegetables imported from Venezuela. If you cook your own food, the floating market is the place to buy fresh fish (red snappers),... More

Maybe we just missed all the fun and interesting things but the day in Punda was not a highlight. You ought to visit but don't plan a full day. Hit the city and get back to the beach.

If you're looking for souvenirs, the prices here are very reasonable. I was able to replace my missing snorkel &a mask for just $50. Try to go on a day there are no cruise ships in port as the shop owners are more willing to deal and it's less peopley.

After crossing the Queen Emma Bridge, we just ambled around the Punda district. The architecture is colourful and interesting as was the floating market. Loads of fruit and veg.

A unique shopping area is the floatung market - though it is extensive in that there are may stalls / boats regretably they all or most seems to sell essentially the same items. A good place to wander on by but difficult to purchase items meaningfully if you're on a cruise !!

A nice stop on any trip. Good mix of local stores, brand names and souvenir shops. Family friendly. will get crowded with cruise ships but worth the initial crowds. Plenty of space for people to spread out. Swinging bridge is a must see. Very handicap accessible

Floating market interesting...boats from Venezuela ''tis up and sell their produce on the dock which itself does not float. Lots of tourist souvenir shops.

The brightly coloured Dutch style buildings along the waterfront of Punda are so absolutely striking that we were immediately drawn into the town. It was like walking down a European street but with better weather! We spent the best part of a day wondering around Punda and will return for sure during the week. Saturdays are a bustle of markets,... More
