The ship conveniently leaves from downtown Willemstad and goes past the floating Queen Emma bridge. Takes you south along the coast to Tug Boat for snorkelling and then to a second stop for snacks with a nice beach for relaxing and swimming while the crew sets the sails for the return trip (snorkelling not that great here). The captain and... More

Captain Phil and Laara made this trip "over the top". We booked last minute. We were on a cruise and did a quick Trip Advisor search for something interesting on the water. The Insulinde is an 85 year old, 200 ton, 100 ft (127' with the bowsprit) sailing ship. The cruise was well organized, attentive crew and lovely spots for... More

My family and I travelled to Curaçao for our New Year's holiday and even though we've been on this amazing island multiple times this was the first time we took a day trip like this and I can tell you we were missing out. Our day at the Sailing Ship Insulinde was amazing! The captain and the crew are extremely... More

My husband and I signed up for the half-day cruise (Thursdays and Sundays - we sailed on a Sunday). The Captain/owner and his co-Captain (Laara) really know their stuff! And the ~120' 2-mast sailboat is beautiful, comfortable, and easy to enjoy. The snorkel stop (with excellent snorkel equipment) was so fun - a sunken ship and bread to draw the... More

Captain Phil and Co Captain were wonderful and informative. The snorkeling location was perfect, plenty to see. Jumping into the lagoon was the second stop and the 7 layer dip was our savior after water activities. I will come back just to go out to see with them again.

It was across the bay from our hotel that we boarded the two-mast sailing ship Insulinde for a half-day cruise along the coast of the island. Built in 1931, the Insulinde is 120 feet long, and it was very comfortable for our scheduled cruise to both snorkel and swim. Kim, my wife, wasn’t sure about snorkeling. She had never been,... More

I habe taken this trip for a daily snorkeling tour. After leaving the harbor we've stopped roundabout 40 minutes later at a nice place for snorkeling and could used it for roundabout 40 minutes. After this and in the time we were away to the next stop we've got the included lunch. But it were only natchos and a dip... More

In no advertising that we do for our afternoon trips , does it mention "lunch" , it states delicious snacks which have been reviewed on this site many times . We recommend that our guests have a late brunch or an early lunch before they board . Also we advertise a snorkeling adventure and a beach swim , not two... More

This is a great trip on a beautiful ship with helpful and friendly staff that made you feel safe all the way. The ship made two stops, the first for a snorkling tour at the tugboat and the other a longer stop for some swimming and relaxing. I would only recommend the snorkling at the tugboat to people who are... More

We have enjoyed so many kids over the years who have loved the ship , the snorkeling , the swimming, jumping off our bowsprit that their parents have actually called us to thank us after the trip whilst having a quiet drink by themselves for the first time during their vacation after bathing , feeding and their children (completely knocked... Enjoyable trip on an eighty-year-old Dutch sailing ship. The 5-hour sail takes you from the harbor in Willemstad down along the southeast coast of the island. It is a great way to see the coastal geography of the island. Many international passengers make this sail so much fun. Take Captain Phil with a grain of salt. He is a crusty,... More
