We advised her that we wnted to ride to Mambo Beach. She said it would cost $8 for the cab per person and $3.50 for entry to the beach. Chairs and umbrella would be extra. While riding, Jennifer made a suggestion that would cost $10 for the cab and $12 for entry to the beach. Shade trees and comfortable chaise lounges were included in the entry fee, so it was actually cheaper than going to Mambo Beach. Once inside the resort, there was a small private beach and a protected inlet as well as a restaurant, bar and bathrooms. We were Jennifer's first customers of the day and we arranged to have her pick us up at 3:30. The short answer is, they have to stop letting day passes in, the beach is incredibly overcrowded, with literal arguments breaking out over seating. We went there as an excursion from the Norwegian Prima. We have snorkeled all over the Caribbean and this place is one of the best. The water is clear and calm, and it is easy entry from the beach - no large dips or waves. There are MANY types of fish in this bay and I got many amazing underwater photos. The ability to snorkel off the beach in calm, clear water with many fish is what snorkeling is all about! I read some of the low rating reviews and I can't believe they are talking about the same place. There was no bad smell, no dirty beach, and a reasonable number of people in the water. Good snorkeling and a beautiful view. Service is adequate. A very beautiful Destiination the beaches are beautiful clean and wonderfully kept. we did a day trip and the staff was good. We spent our time out by the beach basking in the sun and enjoying the incredible view that it had to offer. The only downside was that they charged five dollars American for a single soda Coca-Cola. The shower area was very well kept clean restrooms were easily accessible lots of shade chairs and just natural beauty.

This is my favourite beach on Curaçao. Just down the road from where we were staying. Great services (clean toilets, showers) and very quite when we were here. The sea is stunning and calm. Our little one had a great time playing in the waves. Do bring your ID's, as all adults need to show it for registration upon entry of the resort. Which I think is a good thing, safety wise. Entrance for a beach pas was NAF 7,50, which is a very fair price. There is no towel service, so bring your own.

We stayed for two weeks at a villa in Blue Bay. Blue Bay beach itself is a nice beach- there is no doubt about that. This review concerns the beach bar management that seems to have replaced Caribbean hospitality with greed trying to squeeze out any extra guilders wherever possible. During the European Championship games the management of Blue Bay made access to the beach bar exclusive whenever Holland played- selling’VIP’ tickets and requiring seat reservations for access to the bar area. My partner and his son had been watching many other games in the bar, while eating lunch and sipping drinks. When Holland played they were sent away because they did not have ‘a reservation’. We saw other people being sent away as well as if they were second rate guests (who nevertheless had paid in full for beach access). It ruined our experience at Blue Bay that day. We have stayed at Blue Bay before but the vibe is very different this year and both the bar and restaurant at the beach have become overly expensive while the quality and service have deteriorated. Such a pity!

The day started out ok, but as the day went on it got very crowded and the beach area is small. The bathrooms got very gross in the afternoon. No one ever cleaned them all day!!
We were there for the day from our Cruise Ship. It cost $40 for two in a taxi, about a 20 minute ride and $30 to get back to the ship in 15 minutes. We won’t be back, will try a different beach next time.
Also, the water had a lot of big rocks, almost broke my toe on one!!

Nice beach with good snorkel and dive opportunity. Bar with snacks and restaurant, food choices are ok, service rather slow. You can order at your sunbed.
BUT they do not care about the environment at all. Throw away cups, straws, cutlery - you name it..
Tons of cigarettes on the beach. And as it rains they are being washed into the ocean.
We saw how they just put new sand over the cigarettes and other trash instead of removing it. Thats such a poor management and just a stupid thing to do. Simply shows how much more value the quick and easy money instead of longterm conservation has.
Also no barriers in the water over the coral, so swimmers and snorkelers just stamp on it.
If the management continues like that it sure plays their part in destroying this beautiful spot of nature..

Beautiful beach with a great bar! We stayed at Blue Bay and loved having this in our backyard. There’s a ton of seating, soft sand, and palapas if you get there early enough. Only drawback is that there is a lot of construction going on right now and it’s noisy at times.

We picked this beach for a mid-day trip primarily for snorkeling. We also wanted a beach with chairs, shade, and food. We were surprised by the $12pp use fee, and initially had trouble finding shade. Fortunately, a second look located a couple of lounge chairs under a shade sail. The snorkeling did not disappoint! We have snorkeled in many places around the world and rated our experience at Blue Bay Beach this day as one of the best. Step into the water, look down and notice the schools of translucent fish at your feet. Swim out to the end of the rock walls to experience a vast variety of fish.
Interestingly, some fish varieties were one or few of a kind, and other fish were in schools numbering the hundreds if not a thousand or more. My wife said she felt like she was in an aquarium. The coral is interesting too, but not as spectacular as the fish.
There is a restaurant on the beach and servers who will come to your chairs. There was a long wait for our food, but it was tasty.

Did a short island tour and then stopped here for a few hours for some fun in the sun. The entry fee was only $12.00 per adult which included chairs and there were also plenty of umbrellas, and no restrictions on where you gather. There is a bar with reasonably priced cocktails. The beach has very fine sand with no rocks or shells, so no need for water shoes. The water is very clear and since it's in a small cove, there are no waves breaking, so after the water you can relax in relative peace. I've heard there are nicer beaches on the island, however we really enjoyed this little hideaway.

Horrible and overcrowded with tourists. Do not even consider going to this tiny sized manmade-looking "beach" that's loaded with insects you will have to deal with. Also, why pay $12 or more for entry, when there are so many free beaches on this island? This is the island's worst joke of a beach destination. It's a tiny plot of sand next to a watering hole that was designed to accomodate only the small number of residents who live nearby, but they opened it to tourists and it doesn't accomodate them comfortably.
Warning: Taxi drivers on this island will rip you off badly. Try not to pay more than $5 per person for a one-way trip to any beaches. In fact, consider skipping this island altogether and stick with Bonaire and Aruba only. So many people have bad things to say about Curacao.

It's paid with the entry fee of US$ 8. Which is indeed smart, because chairs and shade spot run out quickly, but you already paid the entry fee... So you have just to wait for someone to leave to get chairs...

In the dive shop at Blue Bay Beach you can certainly rent snorkels, fins and probably a lot more for your enjoyment on the beach and in the sea. Have a lovely time!

We stayed at the Blue Bay lodges, booked through VRBO. They have 3 bedroom. 2 baths condos for 6 around 277$ a night - it depends on where you want to stay on the Island.

What taxi service did or would you use for transportation from cruise port to Blue Bay? The option offered by the cruise ship just seems like to much money and for a short period of time. Looking in to other options to stay longer.

Check out "Taxi Max" in Curacao. He is on Trip Advisor, highly rated and has lots of resources to get you to and from Blue Bay. He like to use the Whats App app.

We have booked a villa for this Oct/19 for our family of12. We are wondering if we need to rent a big van or can we connect with a bus for sight seeing? I know it would be easier to rent a vehicle but could we do with busing it??? Thoughts!!!

Hello, They do have a bus service but there is so many interesting places and beaches to see I would recommend having your Owen vehicle. I’m not sure if they would take you to all of those places. It’s hard to put a value on the flexibility of a vehicle.
