There is a concreted walk way for most of the walk up to Fort Shirley, which is quite steep in places, so take your time making it to the fort. Some interesting artefacts, but its the views you walk uphill for - they are lovely.

I visit fort shirly every time i go to dominica. I love this place. It has an awsome view. The ruins and the history are very interesting.

We hiked up to the fort and walked down a little traveled path. Our guide, Klem gave us the history and detail of the fort.

The staff were friendly and the food well prepared. The fort has been restored and the area provides some excellent views and trail walks.

Great scenery and so relaxing and refreshing.. there is a small 10 minute walk you have to take if you don't have a vehicle but its worth it!
