We had a great experience with ALdive! We wanted a dive shop that would give us individual attention - and we got it. This was the first dive trip for our teenagers, and Billy kept a close eye on our 13-year-old, which we really appreciated. We highly recommend ALDive!

We were on our first dive after qualifying,so wanted lots of attention and not too many other divers. This is exactly what we got with Aldive. We did 2 dives Soufriere marine park in the south of Dominica and both spectacular. Kitz and our boatmaster were fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend Aldive, and if we are lucky enough to return to Dominica we would use them again.

Scuba Diving in Dominica is an absolutely stunning experience and ALDive is the best way to do it.
It is a difficult place to travel to and we did so by cruise ship. All of our diving was pre-arranged and was executed perfectly. We were met at the pier gates with a comfortable van with a/c. We were then quickly and safely taken to the shop which is located about 20 minutes away.
Once we arrived we were issued perfectly working gear and instead of just being a "small group" like promised we discovered we were the only divers for the day. Samantha took care of everything at the shop and we then went out with Capt. O'Dell on a large (maybe 28'-30') boat on our own; it was awesome. We went to L'Abym and had one of the greatest wall-dives of our lives. We saw far too much to list and every shot we got looks like a post card. We had an hour-long dive there and then another hour long dive at the Champagne Reef where Billy was an EXCELLENT DM and guide. 86' and 74' respectively were the depths reached.
The reefs were pristine and the crew became family. Do what it takes to dive Dominica; you'd have to go to Raja Ampat to get better reefs and there is nowhere you'll go with better people. Bucket list location and dives!

I and my dive partner scheduled a shore dive while our cruise ship was in Dominica. The reef right in front of ALDive is Loubiere reef and features some of the most colorful coral formations we have seen. The variety of sea life was amazing!. All this in less than 20 ft. Just float through and watch the various animals come out to investigate.
The folks were most accommodating and friendly and we had a relaxing and enjoyable dive.

We first visited ALDive a few years ago. That day was fantastic, and if anything this was even better. Samantha and Billy have an entirely wonderful place on the beautiful Dominican shore; but the real beauty is the way they treat divers. It’s absolutely like going to see friends.
In accordance with our arrangements their representative met us at the cruise terminal, and we were shortly at the dive shop, and out on the boat. As it turns out the four of us that were traveling together were all the divers for the day. We had two fantastic dives with Billy leading us to the best sites, and the boat Captain O’Dell making sure everything was attended to.
Dominica is blessed with amazing diving, and ALDIVE makes it even better.

Very nice people to work with and crew was very helpful. All your equipment on the boat, tanks hooked up. You get set and they help you on with your equipment.
Wonderful explanation and instructions as well a little history lesson of the area, which was great.
Great group to dive with, you wont be disappointed.

Wanted to snorkel with fewer tourists than what the boat excursions offered. Set up Aldive online before we left home and we were glad we did. Picked us up at the cruise terminal, went out with my wife and one other diver. Had a great time. Great young folks made up the crew of three. Took us to the best spots on the island. Our guide pointed out a number of items we might have missed. Great outfit, highly recommended.

We visited Dominica at the beginning of December for just over two weeks and although we wanted to do some trekking, the main attraction was the diving! Billy and Sam are the owners, Billy, one of the dive guides and Sam, his wife taking out snorkel tours and handling the bookings. We found them to be both professional and fun!
Billy was so enthusiastic about the dives and really keen to show us interesting critters, although he had been diving in Dominica for in excess of twenty five years!
We did some great dives, twenty one in fact, but the best was the only night dive we did, Billy was really excited about taking us and took his go pro as well as us. We had a really close encounter with a big female turtle, in fact she came so close to me I could have given her a high five (which of course I didn't). We saw a slipper lobster (that are very rare) and an octopus on a wall at the end of the dive, as well as numerous crabs and spiny lobsters ambling about! Billy very kindly made up a short video of our night dive and gave us a copy!
I would like to say a big thank you to Billy and Sam and all their staff, for such a lovely diving experience.
I would highly recommend them to anyone, they are a much smaller, personal company than any other around Roseau, most dives that we did we were the only two!
Thanks again all of you!

I have always wanted to Dive in Dominica and on a recent trip I was afforded the opportunity to dive with Billy & Teff with Samantha looking after all of my bookings and shore-side paperwork. Aldive is right off the main road just outside of Roseau and very easy to find. I joined a really nice couple and jumped in the smaller boat for a short but very scenic ride by captain Billy, down to Scotts Head. Billy is the consummate tour guide and dive instructor having been diving Dominica for (a long time). Once anchored Teff took me down as the couple were having eqalization problems and went back to the boat to keep Billy company. "Swiss Cheese" - the dive site, so named for the large out cropping of rocks with huge holes, was incredible! And the sheer cliff-like drop-off was mind blowing as it disappears in to deep blue with no bottom in sight! The second dive was just as amazing... starting right next to the land (only 50 meters off shore) and on a shelf, we found a crevice in the rock and descended down under an "over hang". The Fish, coral and sponges are truly mind blowing. The couple came along on this dive and even managed to spear 11 or 12 of the invasive Lion-fish while I was taking pictures! Truly a fantastic day in and under the water with the crew at ALDive! I look forward to visiting and diving with them again!

Hi - I am trying to reach this company to arrange some dives but their emails bounced back and their website seems to be down as well. Does anyone know if they are still open and how to reach them? Thank you.

As per there (FB or website?) they are permanently closed/not reopening as they as so many others were completely devastated from hurricane Maria. So sad, Samantha and Billy are wonderful people, please keep them in your prayers and “safe diving” to you and yours.

What resort or hotel would you recommend that is close to you for a December 24 to 31 dive trip?
It will be four of us. Myself, my husband and two young men in their 20's- our sons. My sons might need a refresher course while my husband and myself have over 100 dives together.
