You either like it or you don't. I didn't. Not sure why this amount of money was spent on a mausoleum for Christopher Columbus.

The building has many rooms each room donated by a country. If you have seen everything in the old town, go out there but is not a must.

This is an impressive momentum which I've always wanted to visit since reading about Columbus in detail at university. However the ground surrounding the site is in a poor state. Only three flags out of over 30 flag pole and feature a flag and all...More

We enjoyed a brief guided tour in English of this interesting museum with collections from around the world. Plus Columbus' grave and ashes are here. Worth the trip.

Did not tour the inside but the outside was clean but run down. Not a lot of history or information was made available to us by our guide. Good location to see the lower Santo Domingo.

In 1992 we celebrate 500 hundred years of the Americas. Different Countries celebrate that moment with activities and construction of Monuments to celebrate that moment. Puerto Rico built "La Plaza del Quinto Centenario in Old San Juan". But in that moment, when I was a...More

This is a very odd building, isolated in some beautiful parkland but looking like a soviet apartment block. It claims to have the bones of Columbus, but this is much disputed. The artefacts sent from the various countries of Latin America are interesting but ironic...More
