I can´t praise this place enough! It really made my holiday at Puerto Plata. So get out of your hotel resort and go and see the real Dominic republic with Rancho Lorilar. I felt like these horse riding trip gave me more than even could at the hotel. I booked this trip almost a 3 weeks before me and my... More

Raphael was our guild and a good one. But he deceived us when he approached me about a tip and indicated that it would go into one hat to be divided among the entire staff. His lie resulted in me tipping 2,000pesos ( $43 us dollars ) instead of the 1,000 pesos to be split between him and his 16... More

We booked direct via email with Joyce and paid on the day. This meant the money went to the horses rather than the travel agents taking a cut. Following some heavy rain it was very muddy but the horses coped well and the itinerary changed to avoid swimming in heavy dirty water coming down the mountain and we took a... More

We had an amazing day today with Rancho Lorilar. The staff ensured we were safe, had plenty to drink, and were comfortable. Full day ride stopped at a river for a swim, we bought drinks from a village shop as well. The ride went through many roads throughout the countryside and foothills. The traditional Dominican meal that was provided was... More

First, thank you Joyce for all your emails back and forth answering all my questions! What she told me in those emails was everything that happened! She didn't stretch the truth to get a sale! We had a perfect day! Our guides were absolutely perfect. They explained many things along our trip. My husband is NOT an experienced rider but... More

I went on the full day ride. Pick up was prompt. Staff were pleasant. Horses not as spoiled as mine, but cared for and of good temperament. My horse Rosie was very responsive and a joy to ride. Never ridden a gaited horse before and it was a real treat! The place we had lunch at served delicious food. The... More

Get to know the Real Dominican Republic on the back of a horse. The guides are friendly and you will taste the fruits of the season. Really worth it! You don't need to be an expert , they have a horse to fit all riders!

Amazing experience!. The instructor, Crazy Alex, was great . Would recommend to everyone. Only reason why i didn't give it a 5 star is because I felt like horses could have been maintained a little better.

Did a two hour ride through the near vicinity of the venue with Rancho Lorilar. It was my first time riding a horse - everyone there was wonderfully friendly, helpful, and the entire experience itself was flawless. The ride itself went up a hill and around the near vicinity, which itself was pretty and provided a pretty diverse array of... More
