we did the cruise down the Chavon River with dinner, that consisted of Lobster...very nice tour! They stopped along the river for pictures and some swimming if you were so inclined. Only drawback was the vendors selling knock off cigars and cheap baubles on shore.

great trip if you like history, and seeing true Dominican lifestyles. The shops, vendors, local food are a plus. It was a good experience and would love to do it again.

Historical education, time to shop, good lunch but a very long bus ride there and back to resort. Picked up at resort 6:30am. Bus driver would not let us bring our coffee on board. Very disappointed considering cups were lidded and it was so early.

The city was great, though under construction. The Cathedral was beautiful, and it was convenient to have audio tours in ones native language,

Dangerous to go off track or without your guide, within moments of doing so, scam artists abound. Shopping is good if you can get around the many people knowing you are a tourist and considering you fair game.

The tour was awesome but hot. Our tour guide looked like a latino Richard Gere. He made our trip awesome. The restaurant we toured was genuine Dominican and the food and show was fantastic.
