Renowned architect, Jose "Pepe" Gancedo, six-time spanish Champion, designed the course by following the lay of the land, using the natural terrain to provide a route easily remembered long after the player finishes. Our trademark features are strategically-placed trees, bunkers, mounds and gently rolling terrain with well-defined and generous fairways without forgetting an unrelenting wind. The utilization of four sets of tees provides low-handicapped golfers with a course of great challenge, while beginners and intermediate players can continually improve their game in a player-friendly environment.

When you stay at one of the Paradisus or Melia resorts in Punta Cana, you are entitled to play unlimited golf at the Cocatel. I played 4 rounds on vacation. You are charged for the golf cart which is expensive in high season like between $60- $75 USD. The course has 3 nine holes and the greens are in great... More

It is great but it would be nice if the golf course would rent out golf carts to vacationers that are in the community. Getting around can be difficult unless you rent a car from airport the before you get here. Taxis are expensive it costed us 1000 pass for a 10 block ride.. We went shopping and had the... More

Cart and club rental are too expensive for what you get. Cart was in terrible shape and the clubs were Taylor Made RBZ in beat up condition. The course was in OK shape and while we were there on a sunny dry day, some parts of the course were muddy. Staff was OK but there wasn't much interaction with them.... More

We rented a house here and frankly it's great. It's close to the beach (although it's s bit of a walk), a shopping Centre with restaurants and shops. It has tennis courts, a paddle field, a huge pool and of course a golf course (although I don't play). It's fenced with a lot of security. If you want to be... More

Reading some of the reviews I understand why people got frustrated, but when we are on vacation I'm trying to make best of it. I agree that pro shop was slow and some of the employees do not speak English. We left our clubs at the course which was convenient. Their should be improvements in customer service, but we are... We just got home from our trip and brought our clubs to play. Unfortunately, we only got to play one round due to weather. Aileen was extremely helpful with our change of plans. All of the other staff was very friendly, and it was a beautiful course!

This course had no business being open the day I played. It was cart path only and the course was waterlogged and unplayable in my opinion. They should have never put us out on this course. When several groups complained the staff got very silent and said they don't understand English. There were a lot of people walking around on... More

Good Morning We are very sorry that you cannot enjoy our golf course like the other clients do. Dominican Republic has more tan 35 inches of water during november and december and that is why our course is very wet, for weather reasons. We try to give our guest the best, but with the weather that we have and we... More

Worse than a typical Golf Resort. They want to run you through as fast as they can . It obviously was going to rain. Caution they do not give you your money back even if you played three holes of course we were on vacation then had to leave so the rain check didn't do us any good. They have... More

Played 3 rounds here last week when we stayed at the Melia and it's a nice course. Long - 6400+ yrds from the white tees but course was well maintained. only 18 of the 27 holes were open at the time but definitely liked it. Not a ton of variety but enjoyed it. Would recommend, especially if you are staying... More
