This is a fascinate g place, the water wheel is over 200 years old and still is. The heart of the process. No chemicals here just mother nature and what she provides. You are taken through the whole process.by knowledgeable guide and get to taste the end result.

This was a real experience, like going back in time it gave you an insight into how things were done in bygone years especially seeing birds fly over the Vat's and pooing in them :) no worries there though as nothing could live in those vat's the rum was so strong. A lovely day around especially with the tasting

Nice authentic distillery set in a beautiful landscape. Tourguide did well. The visit to the gift shop was nice as well. Although the 70% rum tasted like gasoline

As a proud Grenadian, my husband could not have left the Island of Grenadian without going for a rum tour; and who better than Rivers. The tour was very informative and included a rum tasting at the end, Our favorite flavour for the day was the Mango (which we did not see at the airport). the 75% proof was obviously... More

I had no idea how Rum was made but to see this traditional distillery/working museum using techniques that were hundreds of years old was absolutely fascinating. The smell of the sugar cane is apparent the moment you arrive, I really liked it but my companions weren't as keen as me. We were guided through each stage of the process from... More

As a whisky fan and scotch distillery visitor, I was looking forward to seeing this facility! The distillery is more like a working museum - you see all of the place and it is almost entirely manually operated and powered by open fires and a water wheel! If you ever wanted to see how rum is made without all of... More

This is a great tour of a very traditional rum distillery. It is like a working museum and you can get right up close and watch it happen. Fascinating old machines, powered by a watermill. Dont miss this one

This had all the components I enjoy in a visitor attraction - not just a museum but a working business, excellent guiding thank you Patsy so knowledgable about both the history and the future of the concern, finally the careful sampling of the final product. Shame it is not available at home - anyway the bottle I bought will bring... More

Well, having been to the modern Bacardi tour, this one took us back in time to the basic process. A waterwheel provided the power and the processez dated back a long time. The tour guide was very informative. Wear sturdy footware as you walk up and down uneven surfaces. It is amazing how the very old processes produce such wonderful... More
