Captain Dave, Jane, Brandon and Dominique were so hospitable it was like going out with old friends. They served amazing appetizers and an assortment of our favorite beverages. The Vendia is a unique and fascinating sailing vessel that made the experience most exceptional. When in Grenada, this is the tour to take.

Really lovely alternative to the catamaran trips on a beautifully restored 1943 Danish fishing boat. There were 13 of us and we were very well looked after with drinks and delicious food. Add a beautiful sunset on the way back to St George’s. Music (theirs or yours) if you want, we didn’t, instead enjoying the sound of the sea. A great way to spend an evening.

The Vendia is a beautifully restored 1943 wooden ship with an experienced crew. They advertised drinks and nibbles. What an understatement! The "nibbles" were more like gourmet appetizers, and they just kept coming tray after tray throughout the cruise. Their Vender Benders went down easily, too. Super friendly crew made us feel like we were part of the family. We will be back soon for a day sail and snorkeling. Highly recommended.

A group of 7 of us joined the wonderful crew of the Vendia on one of the racing days for the Grenada Regatta. We were made very welcome and set off at 9am and watched the race starts. KC was on hand to tell us all we needed to know about the various classes of yachts and what to look out for, very useful for the non sailors amongst us. We then followed the races around the coast and arrived in time at the finish line. Drinks and refreshments were served, all very good. We got back to Port Louis about 1.30. We will certainly be back on board soon.

Our half day sail with Vendia was absolutely amazing. The staff worked so hard to make sure everyone had a great time. They were so friendly, kind, and fun. They always made sure there was a drink in your hand and constantly walked around with food to make sure everyone was satisfied. Marc and Dave (owners) accommodated us in every way possible.

The boat was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. Will definitely be booking again! I 10/10 recommend this boat. It is good for all ages. Easy to get aboard and to move around on. Shaded space and sunny space to accommodate everyones preference.

The boat would even be fun in the rain, although sun is always more fun while sailing the seas !

My parents came down for the week to visit me while I attend SGU. The boat was incredible. the staff were very gracious and accommodating, they welcomed us with delicious drinks and "nibbles" to snack on throughout the day. the boat also has wifi which was a plus. We took a relaxing trip around the sea and docked at a secluded beach to have more fun. Definitely recommend!

My wife and I stayed onboard Vendia for a night. The Captain and crew are great fun. If you want an authentic and unique Caribbean experience, with a very experienced Captain, sign on as crew and get the full experience of what it is like to sail an old wooden boat.

I have just returned from one of the best holidays ever! I was lucky enough to sail from Grenada to Antigua on a restored sailing boat, Vendia, owned by two great guys Dave and Mark. The trip was 2 weeks long and we stoped at many Caribbean islands on the way, with time to explore some of them. I snorkeled with turtles and stingrays. We saw dolphins, whales and many flying fish. The trip was 'hands on' and as well as pulling up the sails I spent many hours at the helm listening to Trop Rock.

If its 5* luxury you arfter then this is probably not going to be a trip you should consider. The boat is small and personal space is compromised. The shower is out on deck and cold unless you are lucky enough to get the first one after the boat has stopped, where the waterpipe has been heated by the engine! The boat is old and, as with any boat things happen like the bilge pump packing up on one occasion which saw my flip flop sailing through the kitchen closly followed by a trainer! A sence of humour is an absolute must for this trip!!

We all shared cooking tea making and washing up. One of the best meals i have ever had was the amazing fish chowder cooked by Masterchef Dave! But even simple filled baguettes taste soooo much better when eaten at sea. Although we did spend some evenings ashore, eating in nice restaurants, the best times for me were the ones spent on board Vendia with some amazing sunsets and of course plenty of rum and lots of laughter in the company of a great crew!
