Very nice spot

Go earlier, because at 11.00am, a lot of cars and coaches with tourists arrive.... it's a nice place to see.

First....bring your sunscreen! Busy with tourists, but still something you should see when you come to Guadeloupe. Better to go early as later on the cars are lined up all along the narrow road close to the cross. You usually have people there selling some crafts and always the place to go to find sorbet coco....make sure to try that!... More

It's certainly worth the drive to the point and well worth the relatively short and easy walk up to the cross - where you really get the benefit of the full view. You can see right across to Basse Terre from the cross. We were also very fortunate to see a turtle swimming near the base of the cliffs -... More

We visited the point design Chateaux with our 19 months old girl. The landscape is amazing and the short stroll to the cross on top of the hill is very easy, even with a young kid. The view point is superb. However, the beach is not swimmable at all.

What a gorgeous place! The dark rocks jutting up out of the violent, foamy sea, and the lone cross atop the hill, and wide open blue sky all around. I loved this spot. It was easy to park and it was easy to hike to the peak with the cross (steep, but there are stairs, and it's not much distance,... More

This was interesting for the views and rock formations. We were there for 20-30 minutes and enjoyed the views and what seemed/looked like lava flow rocks at the walking area.

The combination of being surrounded by the wild sea on three sides, spectacular views of some of the outer islands and traipsing around the soft, dense sand make this a must-see.

This is a must do in guadeloupe. The drive along the coast is pleasant and when you arrive at the point the road is nothing but ocean access for a few miles. Pull off on the side of the road and wander down tho the ocean, bring a lunch and have a private picnic in beauty. Once you arrive at... More

We loved this hike. It was super easy for everyone in the family and the view at the top is beautiful! We also made it a point to try the coco sorbet afterwards and plan on going back to try the restaurant and other sorbets. Not too crowded and very pleasant all around!

Take the time and drive down, it's super easy. And the short hike up to the top (by the cross) is a must - wonderful views.
