Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very fitting tribute to a Jamaican who had so much yet to give. The Museum provided a deeper insight into the man and his music. Peter Tosh was a deep thinker and a freedom fighter who stood up for the oppressed African people around the world. He communicated his thoughts through his music and was well ahead of his time. Well worth visiting.

I arrived at the Museum with my friends on Saturday 13th January and the security guard was very rude. He stopped us as we opened the door and literally put us out without asking a question. We are visiting the island and we felt unwanted. Poor customer service and you guys should look at a Customer service rep to greet people, not an angry security guard with no training.

We visited the Peter Tosh museum after we visited the Bob Marley museum. That was not a good idea. Small place with only a few things to see. No guided tours (the place is too small anyway). Not worth the entrance fee

Learn about the legend, Peter Tosh. View memorabilia and significant pieces from his career. Museum is small, but powerful. Take the trip!

We visited this Museum as an alternative to the Bob Marley Museum, which was closed for renovations while we were in Kingston. I'm sorry to say it wasn't worth it. We payed J$ 2500 per person and the exhibition basically consisted of excerpts from Tosh's Wikipedia article stuck up on the walls. The info you get is very basic. One good thing are certainly the artefacts and memorabilia on display, although in my opinion they still don't justify the entry fee.

Personally I think that Peter Tosh was a genius and one of the top reggae artists of all time. Bob’s museum has had money thrown at it and this one hasn’t so you probably need to be a fan. In reality, it is a reasonably big room with some iconic items displayed within.
The usual no photos within the museum rule applies but this does not detract from the feeling of being close to the great man.
Where the museum has got it wrong is with the merchandise. It really is an opportunity missed with so few items and too few sizes,
Overall, it is really a visit for a fan as the entrance fee is crazy for what is on offer. However, whatever Peter Tosh may have thought of the museum, it does need the support of visitors so stop by if you are in Kingston.

Great place to go if you are a fan of Peter Tosh. Famous Ak-47 guitar, unicycle and mostly self guided tour are present, and a guide is there if you have any questions. Where the Bob Marley museum was all about Bob, the Peter Tosh museum focuses on the roots of the early wailers without excluding anyone. This is a new museum so please support if you are a fan.

The Peter Tosh museum is a one of a kind experience. It is self guided for the most part, but there is a guide there if you have questions. There is so much information and history about Peter Tosh with amazing artifacts such as his custom made M16 gun and his well known unicycle. I highly recommend this place for those who are interested in Reggae and Rastafari Culture, as this is an amazing exhibition with character and distinction!
