We rented a car and GPS from Avis to get to the beach. While the drive is a little stressful, it is the most economical way to get there and a good way to see other sites. We were amazed at the large number of white or yellow butterflies we saw on the way. Although we had read that the... More

Nice, quiet, friendly and very safe beach. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Hellshire beach. Visit Fort Clarence. Please note, you will pay a small charge to enter. I always visit when I return home and it never seems to disappoint.

A lovely beach with a very nice coastal panorama. The sand is beautiful and the sea is very clean. Really nice day.

Fort Clarence is a paid beach but it was worth it to us. Minimal crowd, shaded benches, shower area and restrooms. The sand was beautiful and the water was wonderful (aside from some seaweed). We did decide to eat there and the food was great. Fresh and delicious. We would definitely return and recommend it to others.

Lovely, clean well kept beach with gorgeous environs and clean water. Secured, there is a nominal fee for entry. Not open on Mondays. Best during the weekdays as the weekend can be quite busy. Great cookshops specializing in fish cooked any way you like.

I was on my own but wanted a bit of beach action without driving too far from Kingston. This is a private beach with proper toilet facilities and some bars / food options. The beach was clean, the water was warm and the sun was shining. I will return....

Nice beach but the charge you for everything and I meant everything. So not worth what you pay...I would go again but only if I can't make it to the northcoast

Had to pay to enter but the beach is really tidy and well kept. Food was ok but not as good as Hellshire. Lots of kids and families playing in the water and the sand, guys running friendly racing along the shoreline
