Meh, every shop had the same thing.

We stayed at the Decameron which is directly on the 'hip strip'. We walked the entire thing and the amount of garbage along that route is astounding. There is lots of pressure to... read more

Are you in the mood for lots of tacky souvenir stores that offer all of the same crappy trinkets? Then be sure to visit the Hip Strip - you'll find everything you need! There are a couple of decent restaurants, but nothing spectacular. Find something else to do in Montego Bay.

Local hangout and where you see beautiful sunsets and interesting people. Better to go with someone who is from there. Cars parked along the strip, some bars and restaurants. Not a lot to do but visit with people you know. Very nice people, loud music, drinking, smoking and street sellers.

Skip this trip. Nothing to see, no deals, just Jamaican dollar stores that are owned by east Indians and have a few Jamaicans working them. It's very strange. Nothing unique or "Jamaican" in these stores unless it comes from China. Save the trip and just buy from the vendors that come to your hotel.

We thought we would enjoy some shopping, lunch, and various drinking establishments. We started at Margaritaville with a couple cocktails then ventured forth. I knew what to expect from the vendors, but the shops lacked anything authentic. Other than Marguerite's, directly next door, there was no place for lunch or a drink. Still looking for some good souvenirs.

Shops are expensive. Street is very crowded with people from tour ships who are scared to death of Jamaicans. It is very interesting though to people watch.

This is a nice spot to get your tourist souvenirs and stop and have something to eat along the way. Basically It seemed like it ran from Margaritaville to Doctors Cave beach. I thought it would be longer or more stores but there was plenty to shop from. It did get a little annoying the store owners constantly trying to... More

We stayed at the Decameron which is directly on the 'hip strip'. We walked the entire thing and the amount of garbage along that route is astounding. There is lots of pressure to come into everyone's shop, but a polite no thank you seemed to work fine. Lots of ganja and 'brownies' being offered. The shopping available at the airport... More

My significant other and I wanted to pick up a few souvenirs to bring back with us to the States so we visited the front desk at our resort to see if they could be of any assistance to us. They recommended a driver by the name of "Captain Kirk" who then drove us into town. Once we got out... More
