A lady greetef us st the door took us to three shops all related as the baskets came with us prices on items is high we were told to not worry she would negoitate a discount on 100 dolars worth of items the discount ended up being 15 per cent and a tip for her was not a deal, the east Indian men in the jewelry sections were rude and did not like a no answer for there inflated prices. Would not recommend.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 20 December 2023

It is a gated shopping area so only verified shop employees or tourists are allowed in. Most stores sell a different flavor of the same stuff. They do put a sticker on you to signal which tour group you’re in. Average shopping experience near the port.Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 22 January 2024
- Getaway7273777 contributionsTax Mahal shoppingVisited SRM Jamaican Gift Palace. It was all the things…tourist trap, rum shots, 80% off multiple discount scam, spent way more than I should have, tipped the workers; but here’s the thing I knew all that but everyone was nice even if it was part of the sales scam, had a great time and supported the local economy. As long as you go in knowing the gig it’s pretty harmless.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 March 2024

Ok prices, just the convenience of being near the terminal and in the center of the town. Beware of knock offs.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 June 2024
- Mary B12 contributionsVery High Pressure to BuyVery high pressure sales. They follow you around the store encouraging you to pick up stuff, try it on, look at it. The more you buy the more of a "deal" they make you. We went for Cuban Cigars and the guy ushered us to his gift shop across the way. Even when you tell them you are done they bring you to another store, same owner, across the shopping center to buy more.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 July 2024

First time in Jamaica and we got so lucky to find Attire Jamaica Style a duty free shop in Ocho Rios. This is a great place to buy jewelry, souvenirs, rum, spices, shirts, bandanas, magnets and other variety of keepsakes or gifts to take home. Sam, the owner provided such great service. He received six of us with warm welcome and great professionalism. Attended to us with great detail and attention. No sale pushing, we were noisy and curious like kids in candy store. He gave us cold beers and let us taste variety of rums (we almost finished two bottles). In a matter of one hour or so in the store, we got to know more about Sam and He has lived in Jamaica for 22 years, with his beautiful wife and young child. Shopping at his store is very personable and I never experience such great treatment along with great sales - I felt so lucky!. Sam’s kindness exudes to a point that couple of us left our credit cards at the resort and he trusted us to take all the stuff we bought and willingly gave it to us and offered to come to resort at convenient time for us to pay with credit cards. Not only he provided great customer service but unforgettable experience. Jamaica has to be proud and honor a great businessman. Best Store in town!!!!!!

Our driver took us here. I’m pretty sure the driver get something for bringing people to their store. As soon as you walk in the store they are all over you. You can’t even look in peace . They put a basket in your hand and follow you all over the store. If you pick something up to look at it they assume your going to buy and they won’t leave you alone, also prices are high. I left and went to a few of the other stores nearby where I was comfortable shopping and prices were a lot better. I will never shop at any of Andy’s stores.

This shopping centre is a complete rip off. We stopped at a place apparently owned by "Cheap Charlie" and bought rum, rum cakes, and various souvenirs that we later discovered are actually cheaper at the freaking airport. Stay far away from this area. And like most reviews I'm pretty sure our driver got a cut of sales because he went back in the store after we left and was there for a good while, probably squaring up with "Charlie".

If you do end up going here, make sure you get the lowest price possible if there is something you really needed to buy and take home ie. Magnets or a shot glass, it may be cheaper here. BUT whatever you do DO NOT BUY THE RUM CAKES, check the best before on any edible items. The rum cakes we bought were 3 years past their best before.
These shops of this Taj Mahal shopping centre, dont seem to be run by Jamaicans or locals, they are run by foreigners to Jamaica and they must be raking in the money by ripping off tourists.

Scam place! Do not buy from there! We did a tour arranged with Jamaican tours and the lady who was our tour guide encouraged us to buy there saying “they are trusted and do 50% off everything due to the company we came with” and it was a total scam! Their prices were more than other local places and buying from the duty free at the airport is wayyyyy cheaper than buying there! Do not buy from there! Save your money and time!

Do not shop here at all. Everything is overpriced and they claim the more you buy the more discount you will get never again. I stumbled upon another store that had the same items (liqour) and it was 50% cheaper. So clearly they are scamming people.

Dont go there for rum! overpriced. Try to offer you better deals. I was looking at a bottle of Jamaican Lion dark rum. Priced 80$usd Dealed for 65$usd. At the Montego Bay Airport, same size same bottle was 18$usd. What a rip off!!! Same with a bottle of Wray and Nephew white overproof rum. Paid 25$usd and was 16$usd at the the airport. And on top of this, if you pay credit, they even have the nerve to charge you an extra 9$usd for credit card fee!!! Unbelievable. Bad experience! Exactly the kind of souvenir you dont want to bring back from vacation.

It’s not really a shopping centre. Just lots of souvenir shops all selling the exact same thing. There are also a few shops selling jewellery. Fine for “Jamaica” t shirts and key rings. Although you can get good priced rum cake and coffee

I suspect that online ordering is not an option. Each of these shops appears to be individually owned and operated. If you do some internet research, you might be able to track down a particular business if it has a website. The largest shop is a jewelry store, and they might have an online presence. Otherwise, I'm not sure. This shopping area is really designed for cruise ship passengers when they tour Ocho Rios. Many of these businesses aren't even open when there is no ship in port.

I would doubt it. This is a tourist shopping area that caters to bus tours and tourists who want to dispose of there hard earned cash. Even if they did I would pass on it as you need to be there in person to haggle on the prices.
