We visited this location for our 29th wedding anniversary in June. The trip was great! The staff made it their business to make sure we were happy and comfortable. When we first arrived we did not have any hot water. It was fixed the next morning and we did not have any other issues with the location. The food was good and we had a nice choice for our meals and drink selections (all inclusive).
The location is older and they were making renovations while we were there. This place is not for the party type. If you want a nice clean location with great food, drinks, nice quiet and beautiful, this is it. We had massages on the ocean and they were wonderful. There is a gift shop on the premise and the owner I think is name was Larry was amazing, friendly and hospitable.
Our waitresses Tina, and Marcia were amazing! The front desk clerk who's name currently escapes me was the best hostess ever. She arranged our excursions, our covid test pre-departure, transportation around the city and back to the airport when it was time for us to leave.
I recommend this location for your next vacation.

A beautiful spot for drinks and watching the sunset. Get there early. You don't want to get caught in standing room only watching the locals dive from the cliffs. They will ask for your money! Instead, get to the bar and enjoy the sunset & views of the water.

With our Beaches Resort catamaran we went on a fantastic "Sunset Cruise". Capt. Valentine and Capt. Fabian took us all the way to the West End, on a close-up tour along the cliffs. We actually came close to a couple of them, including the so-called "Bob Marley Cave", apparently owned by his family. The waters were amazing, you could just want to jump right in it... crystal clear, framed by marine bio rocks featuring some pretty ancient fossilized shells. On our way back, after visiting Rick's Cafe from the sea side, we experienced the most wonderful sunset!

We stayed at Catcha Falling Star and already booked another stay. The cliffs are the bomb. Make sure you stay at a place that has good jumping places and possible a lifegaurd as when the sea acts up, its dangerous.

If you stay on the Cliffs, make sure you spend a day on 7-mile Beach as well. About the cliffs. Beautiful views and wonderful places to eat and drink. Prices are higher than on the beach but not by much. Be advised that you have to exit each place and walk on the side of the road and for us Americans, that can be dangerous lol. Your best bet is to hire a driver. I have stayed at Catcha Falling Star several times and Mirage once. I love the area and the choices of food, just don't like that there is no beach. LTU has wonderful food and views and I rec.

The cliffs in Negril at Rick's Cafe was an amazing experience! Do not go to JA and miss the chance to enjoy the cliffs. There were various levels to jump from to get into the warm, white-sand water that looks like a pool when the sun hits it! Just exciting and satisfying! The beautiful sunset, great music, and the delicious food brought a blissful end to the day! ❤️

I will start by saying that many people love the cliffs. We are older so it did not appeal to us as it would to the younger set, but I will say the cliffs are beautiful and have the bluest and clearest water I ever seen. I do recommend going to check this place out.

We took an excursion to Rick's Cafe which is the home of the famous cliff divers of Negril during our recent trip to Jamaica and knew nothing of it's danger. We were approached by someone at the hotel to take this excursion and thought it seemed liked something fun for us to do, having three teenagers. I wish I had done some research and read some reviews prior to going but thankful for that feeling of "I wouldn't do that, if I were you," that usually permeates the senses right before something bad is going to happen. Little did we know that someone from our resort had died there two days before our visit. The circumstances surrounding his death, which mostly lacked from poor information and cautionary advice from divers and staff along with substandard medical services ended his life. When you arrive you are greeted by beautiful cliffs/water and very pushy divers asking for tips constantly. However, there are lots of tourists jumping themselves which gives you the sense of normalcy and safety. Beware of that! Jumping from the 10 and 15' platforms will probably not result in bodily harm if you go in pencil straight but anything higher could certainly result in broken bones, spines, bruising and other internal injuries, much like what happened to this young man last Tuesday. I just wish that there were more precautions taken to make the public aware. Just let the "professional" divers dive and tip them if you want, but please don't let unsuspecting and naive tourists jump from those crazy heights! It's definitely not worth someone's life!

somebody is posting MAD misinformation. The place where the pickled parrot used to be is now part of the Rockhouse. The place where the 40 ft. jump (and it's really 30ft. if that) is Pirate's Cave and has been for a while. It's fine and you can jump there today. The place where pickled parrot had been was Aweemaway before Pickled Parrot - the "bad stuff" happened some time between the end of Aweemaway and the start of Parrot - i don't know all the details so I"M not going to post misinformation. They didn't renew the lease for the Pickled Parrot and gave the lease to the Rockhouse - that's all that happened in recent history. I'm pretty sure Rick's is still closed due to hurricane damage but it is due to open some time soon. Xtabi and Pirate's Cave are fun for jumping, 3 Dives and LTU Pub for views and food - lots of good places up the west end

Yamon! I have been to negril 20times in my life.I think the cliffs are probably the place that I dream about the most when i am not there. I have really honest and respectfull friends there. and the ganja is the best in the world..haha i will be there again this march...if anyone has any question..feel free to e-mail..me...MAXIMUM RESPECT!!!

We are staying at the hideaway royalton and we are wondering the red stripe beer doesn't agree with us to well if there is a place that we can get American beer brought to our resort and the price?

90 minutes by car/taxi, with traffic. 70-80$. Public buses are longer. A long way for a day trip, suggest staying in Negril, T-Bird on the Cliffs is convenient and reasonable.

My family booked a place at the 7 mile beach but we are looking forward on doing some cliff jumping during our stay. I wanted to avoid the crowds of Rick's Cafe and have been searching for a place more low key to do the dives and snorkeling. I found the restaurant Xtabi. Does anyone have recommendations of other restaurants or hotels that will allow us to dive? We do have a toddler and a 9 year old with us so it would have to be a kid friendly place.

Xtabi was a nice place to stay as well. Low key. And only a 5 minute $10 round trip drive to Ricks Cafe. Windy roads so don’t walk

Rick Cafe is AT the Cliffs. There are divers there to dive from different heights. They collect donations for them to climb higher up, then dive into swirling, agitating waters below! It's hard to believe anyone comes out of those waters alive!

I feel the prices are a tad high, but moreso, the crowd gets thick the closer it gets to viewing the sunset...hence we had to leave before our food ever arrived... partly be a use we were a large group travelling via bus... but if you are on your own travel time; relax, enjoy the crowd & music, food & drinks....and party on!

Hi, vitalsign. What would you like to know about this attraction? We are staying at Rui Tropical Bay Palace in Negril. What is the best excursion for our family to take in order to enjoy swimming and jumping at the cliffs? Also can anyone jump off the cliffs, I have very daring boys 9 and 12. Thank You

Go to Negril escape and you can spend the day hanging around the pool and jumping off the cliffs. The have a restaurant on site and a tower to jump from . There's a restaurant across the street that has awesome food. It's not a 4 star but we stayed here for 4 days and will be returning for 7 next March . Make sure you stay for the sunset

Couples Swept Away, just along the beach from Sandals.
This hotel is perfect ,the restaurants are very good,the food is fresh and varied. The garden varandah rooms are just lovely set in beautiful gardens and quite. We felt safe here as they have security guards along the beach who take your names and room numbers ,also beach vendors are friendly and leave you alone if your not interested, they are kept to the waters edge. The staff are all friendly and heplfull
