We ended a long hot day with a dip in the ocean at beautiful Frenchman's Cove. The $10 per person entrance fee is well worth it! The water is a combination of cold mountain stream water mixed with warm sea water - the currents are...More

We spent about an hour here but could have been longer. The waves were a bit choppy but the water was warm and inviting. The food here is not the best, but we ordered a burger which is not what you do in Jerk town....More

But, because of the fresh river arriving in the see nearby, the hole cove gets an incredible cold water. Brrr !

Frenchman's Cove is a really beautiful place to hang around. The little river plus the cove are exceptional. Perfect for families with small children.

A great family beach, most beautiful beach I've ever been. I love that there is a river meeting the ocean, which makes it easy for the kids to enjoy the calm of the river and not have to fight with the waves of the ocean.

Beautiful (gated area) sandy beach. Entrance fee US$10 pp. Shaded areas and tables and clean toilet facilities. Drinks and nice food served though service can be a bit slow. The breaking waves are really fun - our kids (4 to 8) loved it. Very relaxing...More

I have two more questions concerning taking a trip to this beach. Umm what activities can be done at this beach, like surfing etc? And what is the price of food like? Because I don't really want to spend too much on food.

No surfing here. The beach is magical and lovely. It is really an estuary that is divided in half by sand. One side, from the mountains is brisk, clear to perfection and much cooler than its brother, the ocean. The ocean... More
