- GinnyKChoctaw, Oklahoma46 contributionsBeautiful fountainThis is easy to find in old San Juan. The fountain is so lovely and full of detail so spend some time looking at it. Very peaceful and not crowded. Continue along the path to see some beautiful scenery!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 March 2024
- 23ritaDavie, Florida561 contributionsPhoto Ops!This is a beautiful partially waterside 19th century pedestrian promenade about half a mile in length which runs parallel and adjacent to the southwestern sections of the Walls of Old San Juan. You will see beautiful fountains, sculptures , Victorian lampposts, large trees... If you continue walking on the path alongside the bay toward the City Gate and Castillo San Felipe del Morro, you'll continue to have many photo ops. Take water, a hat and very comfortable walking shoes! Enjoy!Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 April 2024
- cenztOhio21,401 contributionsViewing Paseo de la PrincesaGreat trip. We arrived at approximately 3:30 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the park. There was a fountain in the center of the park with various sculptures attached to it. There was a path directly next to the fountain that took us alongside the water. The trail offered stunning views of the water, and the old city wall. We were able to admire the architecture and reflect on how long it took to build the structure. The trail was relatively easy, and consisted of walking on a flat, paved surface for a majority of the walk. Tip: I recommend spending 45 minutes walking the trail and admiring the fountain.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 1 July 2024
- Sophie43 contributionsNice evening strollThe day my family went there were fantastic street vendors selling hand crafted goods for very reasonable prices! I bought a crochet stingray and my brother bought a crochet chicken! My favorite booth. 18$ each, which felt very reasonable for crochet pieces. Very friendly, kind and hard working people. The woman I bought from was so patient even though my card was giving me trouble. I love supporting local artisans wherever I travel. The street itself and the statue were beautiful, such amazing architecture. We loved going at dusk, we just got done with dinner and enjoyed a nice stroll.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 August 2024

We loved the area, the birds singing, the breeze.
There are many activities, typical food, souvenirs, chairs for relaxation.
We walked all the way to the end to the Morro Fortress and we enjoyed the walk.
Plenty people with small children.
I saw many pelicans and many birds in the area.
There were young people with musical instruments singing at night and everyone enjoying their talent.
I enjoyed the place

This is a very pretty traffic free area lined with ornamental gardens and historic buildings, with an impressive fountain at the end of the road. There's a lovely view out over the water near the fountain. We found several statues in the garden area including this one of the 'Bird Lady'

Amazing arts and crafts from Puerto Rico for yourself and family/friends! This is an amazing end to a great day walking and eating in Oíd San Juan! We began at San Cristobal Fort and ended here! Follow me to find out about all the other places we visited! This area has the cheapest parking in all of Old San Juan but it is exposed to the sun 😬. This place has a children’s playground and sometimes even live music. Typical desserts are my favorite here! At the end of it there is a lovely fountain and if you keep walking you can enter Old San Juan center having a typical “limber”!! Just go up to the left after going through the Old Gate and keep going strait! You will see the sign Limbers and for only $.075 you get a refreshing frozen juice that will help you walk until you get to El Morro!! La Rogativa Statue is on the way with a beautiful view of the White House where our governor lives. Enjoy! I came here with my guest from Airbnb from Mexico and she loved Old San Juan #drsoulpr #planforamiracle

My husband and I travel frequently to Puerto Rico and we love Paseo de la Princesa for the beauty that is around it. It is just off of the port and so you can see the ocean from a lot of the area. If you have kids, there is a nice playground for them to play in. We particularly enjoy visiting this area on a Sunday when the vendors are set up. They sell locals handcrafted items and food. Plus, there is a wonderful group of people who bring music and there is dancing for you to watch or join in. It is a fun day in Old San Juan and highly recommended.

We were doing a self walking tour of Old San Juan on a Sunday and came upon Paseo de la Princesa. There was craft fair being held there. We browsed the small tented area and found some local artisan treasures.

We discovered this passage on our way to dinner at the Princesa Gastrobar. It was night and the birds singing were so melodious that I asked a Policeman if it was real birds or a recording. Real birds. There is a lovely playground for children. A refreshing fountain near the ocean. We visited on a Friday and Saturday when there were craft vendors selling their creations. It was a walk we made every day (4 days) while in San Suan. We loved the area and if you extend towards either end of the passage you can take the walking path all the way to Fort El Moro or in the other direction get access to the pier where the cruise ships stop for their daily excursions.

La Princesa Walkway is a green path along the port and old city wall. The street is home to many food carts, souvenir sellers, and local musicians' posts. This tree-lined walkway is a relaxing escape into local Puerto Rican life.

This is a great walk along the bay, starting in a park near the cruise ship port and ending at El Morro fort. Beyond the park, there's not much shade, so it can get warm in the sun on a hot day. It's interesting to see the tons of cats that hang out on the rocks and trail lining the bay. The cats are cared for by "Save a Gato", who neuter and vax the cats, and feed them.
At the El Morro fort end, you can climb stairs and a trail to get to the entrance of the fort, or bypass that entrance and make your way back into the top of Old San Juan. The "trail" along the bay is very flat and handicapped-accessible. Not so the stairs up to the fort, but the climb is quite manageable by any reasonably fit person.
Access to the Paseo is free, there is a $10 charge if you choose to go into the El Morro fort itself at the north end.

I will be there in April 2016 Cruising Anthem of the Sea hope to San Juan hope I can ride the Segway 2 hours to see Puerto Rico how do I get photos holding the Zegway I never been riding Segway before hope to try it.
Written 27 December 2015
2 Hour Segway tour will get you to see part of the Old San Juan...that is all, Old San Juan (Where most of the Tour boats dock) is quite big.
Segways are easy to handle, so taking pictures should be easy...but, again...Old San Juan has cobblestone streets, so, is a interesting ride.
