I know it sound weirs but I have a fascination with cemeteries. I find them to be beautiful. This place is very old but clean. Lots of the tombstones are run down but you somehow feel the history in this place. Its sits right next to the Fort and has great views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Walking at a peaceful cemetery, reading names of them who passed years and years ago, also gives you a knowledge of the history of a nation. And foreign names showes that people from all over the world came here, died in Puerto Rico, and became a part of the history.

I don't know if I've ever seen a cemetery on the edge of the ocean like this. Its a beautiful little place with fantastic views. We just looked from the top of the wall and didn't venture into the cemetery itself since people were there and I wasn't sure if they were paying respects.

This is right next to the fort at Old San Juan so it's very easy to see. The white and reds of the cemetery against the blues and greens of the ocean make for some beautiful photos!

An interesting cemetery located near the ocean. The El Morro fort is nearby also. Neat scenic views.

What can be better than a beautiful cemetery surrounded by a fort, crashing waves and the Atlantic Ocean? It may sound crazy but the SanJuan cemetery is a must visit place...it's full of history and us stunning. What better way to remember our past and celebrate those that came before us.

I've been to this cemetery before. The contrast between the white tombstones and the blue ocean is beautiful. I've told my children about this cemetery so many times, I was glad to finally show it to them. I would definitely go back.

VIsiting the San Juan Cemetery is a trip into Puerto Rican history. Many prominent Puerto Ricans are buried here, poets, politicians, founding fathers, etc. You can also enjoy a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and visit El Morro, since it's right beside the fortress.
