We are the ORIGINAL walking food tour company of Puerto Rico (founded in 2009). What's that? Our food tours combine Puerto Rico's unique history and cuisine in the beautiful setting of historic Old San Juan. Featured as a top tour option on CNN, BBC, Caribbean Travel & Life Magazine, USA Today, Frommers, Lonely Planet and more, Flavors of San Juan Food and Culture Tours offers delicious 1-3 hour food tasting events focused solely in historic San Juan, Puerto Rico (Old San Juan). Leave your tourist fanny pack at home and awaken the traveler inside! Our guided food tours include mouth-watering food samples (enough for most to feel full afterwards) showing off the diversity of Puerto Rican "comida criolla" or local cuisine. We are so much more than rice and beans! Come learn our rich history, treasured architecture and hidden off the beaten path restaurants you don't want to miss. Our food tour offerings depart daily (except Mondays).

I was a bit skeptical of doing a food tour in a cruise ship port city for fear of falling into a tourist trap, but this was one of our favorite parts of vacation in Puerto Rico! The tour provided incredibly interesting history of Puerto Rico and of course all kinds of delicious food! I can't say enough about Gabriela... More

Vic(torious) was our guide and, in addition to ensuring that we had fun and ate good food, he also filled our minds with Puerto Rican perspectives on the history and what it is like to live in a territory of the USA. He was funny and included our 9 and 11 year old. He ensured that everyone was having a... More

I decided to join my sister who is a true foodie, and was so pleasantly surprised that not only did we enjoy the taste of authentic San Juan, but we also learned so much of the history of Old San Juan...fascinating! Our tour guide Maria made the tour both interesting and fun! I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

If you're looking to take a San Juan Food Tour, look no further! I can not imagine any other food tour being better than this one. Luli our tour guide was very organized, absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, funny and professional. Everything was excellent... the food / drink choices, the locations and history. We enjoyed a tour in July 2015 and loved it, so upon our return to PR we knew we wanted to do it again...and we were not disappointed. Our guide (Carmen) was great, enthusiastic, fun, and humorous. A local, she knew a lot about the culture, history, and traditions of the area. She was a great hostess. We visited 5... More

This was my favorite part of my time in San Juan. The tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Gaby, was hilarious, entertaining, extremely knowledgeable and had a very evident passion for what she does and also for Puerto Rican culture. She started out telling us of her goals for the tour; for us to have fun, learn about Puerto Rican... More

Worth taking the time to do. Old San Juan is small in area and you can certainly walk the streets and shops while experiencing the charm on your own, but this food tour gives you some culture, history, and hidden treasures along the way that many people likely wouldn't get to experience. In addition to the food establishments we saw... More

Shannon was our guide and she was great. She was very knowledgeable about the food and history of the people of Puerto Rico. The local flavors were great and a nice variety of food and restaurants. It was a beautiful afternoon as we walked through old San Juan. There were plenty of breaks to rest an eat. I highly recommend... More
