My friends and I visited Ponce on August 14, 2017. As part of our hanging around Plaza Las Delicias, we stoped at Parque de Bombas. This is the town's first fire station built in 1883.  It's a popular tourist attraction and free to visit.  The...More

This was just a walking-by-and-saw-it visit. I mean, the building is quite eye catching. We crossed the street to get a closer look and found cool old fire equipment and a fire truck inside. In a loft were about eight painted lions like you would...More

No fee to get in on this self tour and only takes about 30 minutes to see it all. So cool to see the lions and firetruck. Really neat to see firemen stuff from all over and the building stands out. A nice local treasure.

Boring, no real guides on site.People very stuck up and pretentious. It was a building made for a world gathering event and then donated to use as a museum for the fire department. 10 minutes max to see what they are displaying.

They have a trolley running withing certain hours of the day. But service is very limited, so you should relly on your feets to walk around the center, and your car to go to the different atractions out of the center.
