A nice hiking trail with cement steps and/or ramps leading to the fall as. Many areas also have hand rails and they have informational signs along the walk to lean about the birds, animals, insects and plant-life that grows in the El Yunque Rainforest.. with parking at both access pints and only a 1hr drive from San Juan, it's a... If you enjoy walking, this is the trail for you. However, you must walk back especially if you parked your car where you began the trail. Use your ears and eyes to see birds, snails and lizards.

Enter by the La Mina trail and exit the Big Tree Trail. It is all uphill from the falls, but not difficult and it is paved the whole way making it easy walking. Look for the huge trees along the way.

We chose this trail after reading reviews for family friendly trails in El Yunque. Our family ranged from ages 65 to 7. The trail is paved and is perfect for a large age range! Easy hiking with some good family friendly challenges. Towards the ending of the trail is a beautiful waterfall to cool off in. Along the way are... More

It would hard to get lost on this trail because it does get very busy!! The reward at the end is the waterfall which is very beautiful and worth the hike. Be prepared to encounter a lot of people and be careful navigating the rocks in front of the waterfalls as they are very slippery. The signs along the way... More

The majestic trees are only in this particular rain forest. That's right only in 1 place on the planet. How can you pass that up

Worth the trip and the hike. Big Tree Trail was nice with informative trail info along the beginning of the trail. Could get a little slippery after a rain. La Mina waterfall was beautiful.

I can't say enough about how beautiful El Yunque National Forest is. The trees and plants are amazing! It's super cool to hike the mountain and watch as you go above the trees.

Of the two trails, this one is definitely easier. Still would rate as moderately difficult as it has multiple steep sections along the way although is paved the whole way. Best for hikers who can easily complete a hilly 30-minute hike one way. Excellent views along the way.

Very nice trail but be very cautious with children it's slippery. The trail is about a mile long and will take you about 25 minutes to reach the best part where there is a waterfall.
