After visiting some of the more secluded beaches on the island, we headed to Caracas Beach on a Sunday morning. It was already filling up with families, who spread out under the gazebos, hung hammocks, and began setting up barbecues for lunch. The atmosphere was lively and very family-oriented. The music blared, people started dancing on the beach and in... More

This is also referred to as Red Beach. It was explained to us that when the US Navy was on the island they assigned names of colors to each beach: Blue Beach, Red Beach, Green Beach, Black Beach, etc. Each beach also has another name in Spanish. We are a family of four and spent a few hours on this... More

It's an amazing beach but after being in other ones completely alone, here you get some families with small children and groups of teenagers. Great parking space by the beach.

We heard about the island and the beach from Chris on our catamaran trip. One of the nicest beaches I've every visited. Water was crystal clear and refreshing. Highly recommend it you get a chance.

We have been here for 4 days, and visited many beaches around the island. This is our favorite & we are going back today - our last day. The water is the bluest and clearest I've ever seen. It is not overly crowded. None of the beaches on the island have rest rooms, food or drinks, chairs or umbrellas. So,... More

Gorgeous beach in Vieques. We visited only for a few minutes, to snap some pics, but pretty much, we had the whole beach to ourselves.
