Great place to see big turtles, and other sea monsters. Thought it was part of the pier until it moved. Massive turtle munching on the coral & grass on the posts.

We took a tour of Vieques and were taken to the Pier. On one side the water was calm. On the other side, the water was wild. The sky was clear and it was absolutely beautiful

This was a great place for site seeing and to snorkel around the pier. Enter the water from the steps by the road. Jumping or getting into the water from this pier is NOT permitted.

On the weekends lots of locals out fishing as well. And you can snorkel with the turtles IF you are a strong swimmer and know your way around ( avoid fishing lines by staying UNDER the pier )

Once we found the stairs, we spent some good time snorkling. We saw lots of beautiful fish, urchins and sea stars. We were to.do that the sea turtles usually hang out there, but we didn't see any that day.

Snorkling the pier was wonderful. It cost $15 in a taxi to drive there and back and we scheduled it so we didn't have to call again. The water is warm and calm and there are lots of people around to lend assistance. You will...More
