In february it is out of season and the flowers were just not worth the trip. The treetop bridge was ruined by people who were afraid/stopping for selfies.

These are extensive gardens with wide open views to the Caribbean, which holds a variety of palms, bromeliads, lilies, plants of all kinds, and a high-level walkway strung between large trees. Good for a pleasant 1-2hours of strolling.

Best 13.50 euro per person we spent on trip! Took about 90 min to tour. We rented a car and drove up, we hoped to get there when they opened but we're closer to 10:30am. It was packed and for good reason! Some trails are steep, but they are paved and grooved for traction. Not much English, but it's ok... More

We visited this garden as part of a shore excursion. We toured a portion of it with a guide and then were allowed to roam. I loved learning about the plant life in this part of the world. There was a very fun suspension bridge that went from tree to tree--very quaint.

The garden is a comfortable walk on cement, sidewalk-sized path through beautiful tropical trees and plants. It is quite elevated so the views are breathtaking. It can get crowded. We arrived at 9:30 am and fortunately found parking close to entrance. When we left at noon, there was more parking available.

Beautiful tropical garden, so well arranged! People work in the garden with all their heart. That you can see...after you pass the entrance, because the lady who sold us the tickets was not at all friendly, evend rude. But the rating is for the garden not for her.

This was a fantastic way to spend an hour or two, strolling through the beautiful Jardin de Balata. The diversity of all the beautiful plants is a sight worth seeing, with excited swarms of hummingbird birds around some of the blooms!

Not cheap but totally worth it to get a feel for a tropical garden in a really accessible way. The garden is small but have a lot of nice trees and flowers to admire for someone who doesn't live in a tropical zone. If you choose to you can also walk bridges from tree to tree, but beware skip it... More

My wife and I got to this park using public mini- bus transportation, because we didn't want to pay the high cost of a taxi to get there and back. It was a curious experience to go "native". But, the bus traveled the hairpin curves, up mountain at a break-neck speed, which was a bit frightening. The garden is a... More
