Kite surfer paradise! Rough Atlantic Ocean beauty!

Went to this remote beach to see the Kite surfers. It is apparently a Kite surfing paradise! There is even a lady who is very very good that has a little shack to give Kite... read more

Follow the signs to Cotton Bay but drive past and then turn right down an unmade road (cars YOK) to get to the beach. Lots more seaweed than in 2012. Some attempts being made to clear but will take some time to complete. We saw new waves of seaweed incoming. However, is very quiet, good breeze off the sea and... More

Spent the first part of the day making wrong turns down a couple back roads before finding the right path. Btw, take cas en bas road. Go just past cotton bay village and find the side dirt road down to the beach. If at some point you pass the golf club house, you've gone the wrong way and may end... More

The best way to get to this beach is via Golf course. There is a part where the road is not very good but it is not too bad. The beach is nice but it is very windy and full of seaweed. (the whole east coast is very windy) You can go for a swim if you do not mind... More

Made many wrong turns before we eventually found this beach and was very disappointed with it. As last review said the beach was covered in thick seaweed which made it impossible to get anywhere near the sea. Didn't, stay long so can not comment on the facilities. If you do want to find this place the directions the op gives... More

After reading the very positive reviews on Tripadvisor we thought this would be a good beach to visit. Not easy to find but when we finally got there we were very disappointed to find the beach covered by a thick carpet of seaweed. No point in staying as there was nothing of any appeal. It must vary according to the... More

Went to this remote beach to see the Kite surfers. It is apparently a Kite surfing paradise! There is even a lady who is very very good that has a little shack to give Kite surfing lessons to those who want to learn it. We enjoyed spending time at this beach on the Atlantic side of Saint-Lucia because of its... More

Well now, for the most glorious views, breeze and gentle walks, visit Cas En Bas. Superb beach with the warmest water. Watch the clever kite surfers and join in. Take a gentle horse ride and take the lovely creature into the sea for a swim, they love it and so will you! Take a stroll either way into quiet areas... More

After reading the reviews on TA I was under the impression this beach was isolated and inaccessible. It is a hidden gem, we loved it, but want share the experience. The roads have been paved for over five years and any car will make it. We stayed at the Cotton Bay Villas and delt with the reception directly for a... More

make sure you get to Cas en bas beach on your travels.Bring your own food and drinks because you will only find tourist prices down there.A lot more accessible than before take a hike to Donkey beach, and on the other side to 5 dollar beach.A lovely day, bring some good shoes to go over the rocks.

During our visits to St. Lucia we always hire a car to see various parts of the island that we love and to explore different beaches. Cas-en-Bas is very different from Reduit beach or the beaches in front of some of the well-known hotels on the island. We like it as it’s very wild and natural and not commercialised. There... More
