Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The town is beautiful from the lookout just south of where the highway leaves the coast and heads west. Our highlight in Dennery was Dennery Falls (apparently also known as Errard Falls and Sault Falls). To get to the falls, you turn inland off the highway where there is a billboard for Treetop Adventures (zip-line place). It is a nice paved road, but narrow in spots. Apparently a green shack that said falls used to be there, but now the shack is no longer green and has no paint on it. It looked like new plywood and there are no words at all. It is very soon after passing Treetop Adventures and is a small pull-off on the left side of the road, but nothing indicates a waterfall. When we got there a car was having a very difficult time getting back onto the road because there is a "step-up" from the dirt pull-off onto the road which was lifting a tire off the ground. Eventually they made it and told us that the falls were just down the trail. Our 4wd vehicle had no problem at all.
It was 4:30 PM or so, so we had it to ourselves, and it is a very pretty area. Not just the falls themselves, but the stream below it and canyon around it. There are cool boulders precariously perched and we got some nice pictures. The water was quite cool and had a strong flow, even without much rain. It was actually split into two falls on the large cliff surrounded by lush foliage. I assume after more rain, it is one larger fall. Water shoes of some sort would be a good idea in the pool beneath the falls and to cross the stream before it. I would definitely recommend it for a quick stop, as it is just a few minutes from the highway and a short walk to it. The road getting there is well paved, but narrow. We had a tough time passing a vehicle at one point and the almost-setting sun was blinding me on the way in, but pretty easy. There is no need to go with Treetop. It was very private, romantic, spectacular, unique, and beautiful.

Dennery Point is a roadside viewing point on the main airport road between Castries and the main airport. It consists of 2 or 3 small outdoor bars which serve local snacks and drinks and also the coldest Piton beer on the island.
The main attraction are the stunning views over the Atlantic ocean with the breakers rolling in over the reef and rocks just outside the beach at the town of Dennery.
We always make a point of stopping here on our arrival from the UK and again on our way home. Dennery Point is a perfect introduction to this beautiful island and a perfect place to have a cold beer, and reflect on why you came here before you join the inevitability of normality at the airport.

Just ask your driver you won't regret it.

Dennery is a quiet fishing village on the coast of St Lucia. The town is serviced by transports, (small vans used as buses) that give acess to the rest of the island. I rented a car from hertz. It took 3 to finish my week. The cars were in horrid condition and the roads were worse. But driving was fun! The roads have foot deep concrete guttering that serve to move water during storms. Stay away from the sides! The seafood, especially the saltfish, parrot fish and local crab were awesome! And the weekly jump up, (fish fry and party) was a way to really experience the island. The beaches were not crowded and always had coconuts or some other food plant growing nearby. The water was blue-green, The people were hospitable, The mosquitos were sneaky, the roosters loud, the goats on the side of the road seemed happy and the roadside stands were bountiful. I only wished the house that I stayed at had water all of the time and AC. The island stayed around 79 degrees most of he time so it was comfortable and the humidity was bearable. I enjoyed the trip, I stayed in a home of a friend who is serving in the peace corps and not a resort so my experience is bound to differ from most peoples.

Turn off the well maintained East coast road and head down to the harbour. We stopped off late in the afternoon when the fishing boats were coming in with their catch and the sun was going down - some good photo opportunities. Very few tourists around. Recommend going on a Saturday and staying for the Fish Fiesta in the evening.

If you're flying in to the southern airport but your hotel is in the north, ask your taxi to stop here. It's a great view of the Atlantic side of the island with amazing & cheap food/snacks. Stop for a drink (bear, water, coke), and chicken or fish (grilled). It was a great way to start and end our vacation on our long airport taxi rides.

This was a photo stop on our tour from up opposite the main town, but a good viewpoint on the Atlantic coast regardless. Where we stopped apparently it is 1$ to use toilets in the refreshment huts

St. Lucia is the land of the street party - there are three main ones to choose from and the Dennery Fish Fiesta is the least well known.Great food, entertainment and outdoor street party vibe, well worth a visit on a Saturday night.

Disappointed... advertised as having entertainment for children from 4pm... this wasn't the case for our visit... arrived with a group of 11 at about 6.45pm to find there wasn't really anything going on... just a few stalls selling BBQ'd fish... the stall we bought from the fish was cold... other stalls did have warm cooked fish which others in our group had... fish and salad was good and worth the money... there was very few people there so no atmosphere...
