YOu can literally drive right into the crater of this volcano and walk between the bubbling sulfur springs and hissing pools of steam.

I walked there from the hotel Chocolat at Rabot Estate, via the more scenic route. It was after midday and hot so drinking water is essential. The walk had one steep hill which was easy and a long descent which my calves complained about for...More

You get to see bubbly surface liquids but overall the sight was disappointing to us. Guides were quite good and offered lots of great information. We didn't get to visit the mud baths site w/our tour group (Spencer Tours...spent way too much time having lunch...More

Maybe visiting Yellowstone National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park and Iceland has spoiled me for volcanic areas as this extremely dull in comparison. All the publicity talks about St Lucia's 'Drive In Volcano' and I had an image of driving into the steaming, bubbling caldera...More

I thought it was a bit weird. The mud bath was a lot smaller than expected and a factory line of tourists going in and out- not relaxing at all. I thought it would look like a spa. We were in and out in 20min.

The experience in itself is only available here. If you can adjust to the sulphur smell....the guide is very knowledgeable and the tour interesting. Worth the visit. If you have time, do the mud baths, too.
