We just had a walk around the area ourselves without guides, the buildings are just gorgeous in my opinion. Would recommend a visit.

Thursday 16th May, we were on a walk about and sightseeing in Casteris when we saw this wonderful building. It is not difficult to notice This grand structure which is located on Bourbon Street in the heart of Casteris, it is across the road from Derek Walcott Square. This red/orange building with it's large white windows and columns does stand out from those others around. We did not enter into the building, however, we did stop for a few moments to admire this eye catching building.

This is not only a great place to find information but a awesome relic of history on island . The library is great for quick meet ups and startup business persons who just have a stable office to call their own. The quiet atmosphere mixed with the sweet serenity of the neighboring Derek Walcott square makes it all more exciting.

We were stopping here on a cruise & missing free WIFI so had been told to try the library, I did ask first. No problem & we walked into a room with a few tables & chairs & lovely air conditioning! No password was needed & it was nice to be able to contact home. In the afternoon we popped back to contact home again but now the library was very busy & we couldn't connect up again so perhaps if you're after free WIFI go early. The library is just across the square from the cathedral & is very easy to find.

The exterior architecture was beautiful, however the interior was plain. The original building was built in 1924. It was burned down in 1948 and rebuilt in 1950. Free wifi inside.
