We have experienced many food trips/cooking experiences over the years but this by far is top of the list! I If we hadn't been eavesdropping we wouldn't have found this little gem. The cookery school is less then a ten minute taxi from The Halcyon Sandals hotel and the activity only lasts three hours. If you are hoping for induction... More

We had an exceptional time at the Little Lucian Cooking School. Cooking authentic food the authentic way - and then getting to eat the fruits of your labor. A must see for anyone visiting St. Lucia. Glenn

After seeing all the good reviews we thought we had to try it!! It is a lovely little place. We got a taxi from our hotel in Castries and we got there within 10 minutes. Immediately felt welcome. The breakfast they give is amazing and then we spent some time chopping up the "secret ingredients" to go in with the... More

Matilda and her family were so friendly and welcoming. It rained most of the morning, but still got to enjoy an outdoor cooking experience, as they just moved the charcoal cooking station under the grass canopy so it didn't really take away from the experience. Note: Come hungry! lots of food, and very filling. Beautiful food, lovely people, lovely way... More

Let me preface this review with a few things. 1) I am an unapologetic foodie. 2) I believe that the best part of traveling is experiencing different cultures and foods. 3) We were staying at Sandals Halcyon which was great, but did very little to honor St. Lucian culture/cuisine, so we were desperate for something authentic. Okay, ready? My husband... More

My 14-year old daughter and I weren't sure what to expect from a traditional, home-cook experience with local sourced produce. Matilda and Mary led us through a fabulous morning of cooking, tasting and learning about St. Lucia. Their cocoa tea far surpassed that served by our resort and my daughter enjoyed the coconut cakes so much she brought them back... More

We spent the day at the Little Lucian cookery school learning to make hot spiced cocoa tea, coconut cakes, green seasoning (a wonderful sauce that can be used on anything) on tuna fish and a cucumber salad. Matilda was fascinating and had been cooking for years raising a large family. Her knowledge of plants, bush medicine and cookery was impressive.... More

We had the great pleasure of meeting Manu and Marie and learning how to cook St Lucian style. These women made us feel like family and the food was phenomenal. It was the best experience....learning to cook on coal and all the preparation that goes into it. Thank you ladies...we will see you again. DO NOT MISS THIS!

We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome! We were allowed to get involved with the cooking as much or as little was we wanted. We learned a lot about the incredible produce grown at the kitchens, got to try a lot of new flavours & fruits direct from the tree! The cooking was great but the best part... More

The Little Lucian was a great way to meet the culture of St. Lucia. We chose this class because they use the traditional clay pots. Come hungry because Chef Matilda and Chef Marie will start feeding you as soon as you arrive. We felt like family and learned a lot about the Secret Six ingredients.
