The boardwalk is very nice and easily accessible. It's a short walk from the cruise terminal or you can take the water taxi (highly recommend) as you get a great view and you can go back and forth to the ship as often as you...More
Boardwalk was obviously hit hard by the recent hurricane. But they're trying to recover. We did fine an awesome place for some refreshments. If you ever visit st maarten stop by Burger Madness and say hello to Tifarri and Sharon. He's very fun to hang...More
We enjoyed a walk along this after spending the day on the loungers and beach here in St Maarten. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in Taloula Mango’s Caribbean Café. A lovely lazy day from our cruise ship. The sea is sandy and great to cool...More
You will get your typical goods selling but a simple no thank you takes care of it. Get used to it, as it is fairly frequent. It is also expected as it drives the island economy. Be prepared for ANOTHER Diamonds International. They bought out...More

The boardwalk in Philipsburg is on Great Bay. It is a nice clean sand beach with attendants for chairs/umbrellas for swimming and sunning and water sports but it is not a good snorkeling area (too busy and wavy). You want to go to Little Bay (Divi Resort area) around the corner for better snorkeling/diving and they have a dive shack there, or take a catamaran day cruise that takes you up the west side of the island to Creole rock or to Tintammare or Prickley Pear.
