I was in Grand Cayman a year ago, where we disembarked in the old port that did not have much to offer, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a completely new port this year. One very positive thing is that it has new, clean and free bathrooms. Also it has covered spaces for people to wait, with some benches... More

Visited this port on our cruise. What a beautiful country and locals we do friendly. Safe and cheap to use local transport. Will definitely go back!

Our family visited Grand Cayman on the Carnival Dream. To get from the ship to land, you have to ride a tender boat. The surrounding water is beautiful. There is a pirate ship anchored in the bay that was cool to see. Next to the port is a store that sells Tortuga rum - I recommend that you purchase some... More

Cruised with Holland Line and Cayman Islands have been on my list for a long time. I totally loved the time I spent on Grand Cayman. The blue water white shells and laid back locals, I'll be back

I was doing a cruise at the Caribbean and it touches for a few hours at George Town in Grand Cayman. The sea is just beautiful, very clean and transparent, with wonderful different tones of blue. The area surrounding the Port is very nice with a lot of jewelry and luxury stores, liquors stores, souvenirs stores and places to eat... More

I walked in Georgetown on December 22 and again on December 27, first to do souvenir shopping and other shopping as well. I visited Fort George to take pictures and saw the cruise ships docked. I had a nice lunch at the local Burger King which was great. Did another walking tour on the 27 of December as I visited... More

Compared to other ports we stopped at, this one was average. It had a few little soft sided shops with typical souvenirs/cliche junk, there was a building that had a few small shops. The middle is a large open space with a tent you can wait under for excursions, when you get off the ship...or when you are waiting for... More

Despite the fact that one needs to be tendered in to this port, it makes up the difference once you come ashore. Lots to do with a very decent organized transportation system.

The town is bustling with many cruise passengers alighting all at once. The buildings are colourful as you would expect in The Caribbean. Many attractions available but for us it was 7 Mile Beach, a taxi ride away $5 approx. But it will stay in our memories for years. Went to Calico Jacks, a typical Hot and sandy, clear water,...
