Loved the sculptures that would give anyone a sense of the horror that overcame this wonderful island when Hurricane Ivan hit September 2004. Everything was destroyed but the people got up, pulled themselves together.

This gallery was a pleasant surprise in Grand Cayman and the exhibitions on Cayman's seafaring history gave wonderful context on it's development. I loved that there were multiple styles of art including digital. The gallery is well laid out and the staff was helpful. The only challenge is location as it was a bit difficult to access but well worth... More

Thank you for the lovely review @Island_Elle868! Our main entrance is currently closed as we redevelop the front sculpture gardens and while work is being done along the Esterley Tibbetts Highway. New visitors can view a map of the temporary access road here - https://www.nationalgallery.org.ky/visit/. The main entrance is scheduled to reopen this summer! So come back soon to see... More

Even though my home country has the Louvre, Centre Pompidou and brought the world Monet and Cézanne, I have to say I am in no way an art lover. The National Gallery will take maximum 30 minutes. It's worth a very quick stop on the way to Camana Bay or somewhere, but is free which is very rare on the... More

Thank you for visiting the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (NGCI) and for your positive words about our staff and facility. Our art scene in the Cayman Islands is relatively young compared to other countries and growing rapidly. In addition to the permanent collection, which rotates bi-annually, we host a diverse series of local and international exhibitions throughout the... More

This is a small gallery but some nice art on exhibit. Be sure and visit the additional buildings on site. Small children would not be interested in this exhibit but older children might.

It is a little hard to find if walking from 7 mile beach, but worth the effort! The theme we saw was "maritime changes on Cayman over the years." There were some powerful and striking pieces that made one reflect on the importance of the ocean in the Cayman community.

A wonderful venue with a surprisingly impressive national collection considering the short period of art history in the Cayman Islands. It was also free entry, which further reinforces the need for everyone to grab the opportunity to visit the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands.

National art gallery of the Caymanislands, worth a pitstop when it rains. Entrance is free and you have two floors of art to have look at as well as the gardens.

Only to be visited on a rainy day because otherwise there are many other things to do on the island which are far better. A reasonable attempt for a small island to try create a showpiece for local artists but not much more.

Thank you for visiting us at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands and for taking the time to share your thoughts. We are an art museum with a medium sized venue and a big heart. We house the country’s National Art Collection so it’s a great place to learn about Cayman’s unique cultural heritage, in addition to enjoying our... More

I work down the street and always pop in to see new exhibits and hang out in the back area and have a coffee. Really beautiful spaces. Nice art usually....
