The one thing about Cayman, its had to find a beach that offers shade. This beach is beautiful and clean, but bring a sand unbrella and or a hat. Lots and Lots of suncreen and Water. There is not much for amenities.

Governor's Beach is on 7 mile beach located behind the governor's house. The soft, white sand is a perfect place to enjoy a quiet beach day. The water is calm and crystal clear. This picturesque beach, gives you a sense of peace by just being...More

This beach was a 5 minute walk from where we were staying so we spent a lot of time here. The beach is amazing soft sand, with crystals clear calm water. Absolutely beautiful. Its nice that it seems a bit more "local" than touristy too....More

The water was calm, clean and clear. There was a good amount of see life to be seen. A short distance away you can rent paddle boards or jet skis.

We went to the speech off season and it was one of the best beaches we've ever been to. The water is crystal clear and nobody bothers you.

We stayed at the Westin so it was a quick walk to Governor's Beach. We went for the snorkeling; saw many different fish. Go visit if you're in the area. Swim out to the second buoy; you won't regret it.

This beach is right off the main drag. It is easy to find. When you pull up and park under a bunch of trees you will see a pretty beach with plenty of shade. It's nice. But then, put the snorkel, mask and fins on...More

We stayed off of 7 mile beach, and with a rental car checked out the entire island during our stay. This was by far the best beach we visited. To the left, at 100 yards is the Ritz Carlton, and other all-inclusive resort, which are...More

We pack a picnic and head out to Governor's Beach for the day while we are in Cayman. It is so peaceful and relaxing! It is a public Beach. I just take my raft and float and never want to leave.

Other beaches have better snorkeling like cemetery beach, smiths cove and Spotts beach. Probably best snorkeling is on the north side, Cayman Kia beach.

There are no rentals there but a blanket or towel to lay on would be fine. We took along with us every day one of the hotels bed covers and kept it in the keep we rented and used that so we would always have something to lay... More
