Booked a return trip from Llanuwchllyn station to Bala and back. Plenty of free parking at Llanuwchllyn station. Dogs welcome. Staff very helpful and keen to advise people about the railway. Lovely views of Bala Lake along the way. Highly recommended.

Took the steam train from Bala Lake to its terminus. Lovely journey running by lakeside. Pleasant scenery. At terminus you can visit café or walk into village. Train journey return for over 60s is £10 each. This service is manned by volunteers.

A beautiful sunny day riding in a open train carriage along the south of Bala Lake. The lake looked wonderful and the surrounding views of Snowdonia were magnificent. We only travelled one way which took about 25 minutes.

Our main station at Llanuwchllyn is the one with the café and shop where you can relax under cover (if it is raining) waiting for the train. All trains have closed coaches so you won't get wet if the Welsh sunshine pours... More
