Neat fishing spot. Just minutes from LCBR. Used a local guide and it was reasonable. They supply the tackle. Catch big Tarps

The lake looks very pre-historic. But good photo opportunities for birds. The dock has a railing only on one side. I wouldn't take children down the dock without supervision.

If you love to fly fish, if you want a fish that puts up a great fight, if you want a personable expert guide-look no further! Chris takes you out at daybreak, supplies rod and flies, and tells you exactly where to cast to get a hit. You must supply an honest assessment of your fly fishing capabilities. The rest... More

The lake was very quiet the day I visited. No birds were about other than the soaring Frigates which are always a wonderful site.

The shallows looked like tea from the tannins from the trees...way cool. There are boats at the end of the walkway that can be used to paddle around...just bring them back to the walkway and tie them up. Interesting story about the lake-read the signage at the end of the walkway.

Fly fishing with Tom P is a must. He isn't there all year round so catch him when you can. Wealth of experience, knowledge and tips and techniques.

Since I don't generally fish, I can only comment on the lake as a site to see. I got lucky in the respect that there had been recent heavy rains, so the pond was full and had an eerie beauty. However, I was also unlucky in the respect that there had been recent heavy rains so the place was swarming... More

This is just a big smelly dried up pond. Not sure if it would be any better in the spring. There is nothing here and nothing to see.
