Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We used the Edge of Wales baggage transfer. We found that most of the b n b’s had not been told that bags were being delivered so there were a couple of occasions where the hosts were complaining to us. On one occasion after a long hard walk we arrived at 4.30 to be told our bags hadn’t been delivered as the taxi driver couldn’t find them. This could easily have been resolved by the taxi driver phoning Simon or Peter or the two mobile numbers we had given to Edge of Wales which were supposed to be passed on to the taxi drivers for incidents like this. We finally got our bags at 6.15 through the kindness of a member of the hotel staff bringing them to us. There were also no labels provided for the bags at the beginning of the trip which all our previous baggage handlers provide. As experienced long distance walkers this was the most disorganised service we have had.

My husband and I walked the Wales Coast Path on the Llyn Peninsula on a holiday organized by Simon and Peter from Edge of Wales. Wonderful scenic walks, interesting information about the area, excellent accommodation, well-planned and executed luggage (and people) transfers. Coming from Germany, we could never have arranged such a trouble-free holiday. Highly recommended.

Edge of Wales arranged our accommodation and baggage pick-up for my cousin and me when walking the Wales Coastal Path from Morfa Nefyn to Pwllheli. The Llyn Penninsula is a beautiful part of Wales. Fantastic scenery, abundant wild flowers and splendid bird life, with choughs seen most days. Simon and Peter at Edge of Wales did everything to make our walk as pleasurable as possible and we strongly recommend EOW to anyone planning to walk the North Wales Coastal Path.

We know the area well and were visiting with a new friend who was a bird watcher and wanted to see the Choughs. The young man in the National Trust shop was fantastic and so helpful. He understood what we wanted and directed us to the perfect area to watch these rare and fascinating birds.

I spent a very enjoyable couple of weeks with Edge of Wales walking from Caernarfon around the Llyn peninsula and on to Aberystwyth. The scenery is spectacular of course and the walk is highly recommended. I received expert, friendly and efficient help from Simon and Peter of Edge of Wales both in the planning phase and while actually doing the walk. Luggage transfer was flawless and the accommodation was generally of a high standard, and very high in some cases. Everyone I met was extremely friendly and helpful and overall I had a great experience. Thanks very much to Simon and Peter for organising it all for me and thanks also to the various wonderful hostesses I met on the way for making me feel at home at the end of a hard day walking.

I walked the whole of Llyn Peninsula in the capable hands of Peter and Simon of Edge of Wales on the recommendation of Anglesey Walking Holidays. Excellent notes and maps are provided (GPS as well but I declined that preferring to use maps, notes and wits!). The gps may have provided an easier day when I went over Yr Eifl pass in very misty, wet, windy conditions though I have to admit.
Good transport to and from the hike starts/finishes where necessary as well as excellent B&B accommodations in the various villages. Some of the notes are outdated where the path has changed (probably because of the increasing utilisation of gps) and it would be useful to have the notes laminated for use in wet weather. Lots of valuable information provided in the notes on the local history, churches and Pilgrim's Way which I think are a particular interest of Peter's. Wonderful scenery, paths, churches; one of the best walking experiences without doubt.

We had long wanted to do a walking holiday and we chose Edge of Wales Walk as our first. We certainly got that right! From our initial contact by email, Simon was helpful and accommodating in designing a route that suited us. And once we arrived, he and his partner treated us wonderfully. The accommodation was good quality and the food excellent. Most importantly, the instructions for our walk were clear and easy to follow. The whole trip was memorable, capped off with a trip to Bardsey Island in which we were the only people on the boat.

We have booked our holidays through a travel agency in Switzerland. The organisation in Wales was taken over by the team of Edge of Wales Walk. Excellent, competent and warm support. We have been walking for several kilometers through wonderful landscapes, most of the time meeting anybody on our way besides wild animals, expecially birds of various species. The accomodations in Nefyn, Aberdaron and Caernarfon were excellent and appropriate to our program. The team was ready to help all the time, giving advices about things to do or to see. Somatimes the path was not very well marked but thanks to the GPS which was given to us we could always find our way! We had a lot of pleasure during our holidays and this thanks to the beauty of Wales and the efficiency of the team of the "Edge of Wales walk"

I have just done 4 days walking on the beautiful Llyn Peninsular – two days with a friend and two days on my own. It was beautifully organised by Peter of Edge of Wales, and every step of the way we felt supported and informed. We stayed in very comfortable places, and equally important, Peter's beautifully written and informative notes on various places, as well as the walking path, added enormously to the interest of the walk. He provided laminated maps for each section of the walk, and a useful GPS - my first time with this technology and a great help. Highly recommended - even in the rain.
