We made a quick photo-stop here. Lovely views over the island and the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Caribbean Sea to the west. There were several stalls in the lay-by and some of these were much cheaper than elsewhere. Less keen on the touts offering tourists the opportunity to hold a baby monkey ($10 for 3 photos).

Timothy Hill is a famous tourist attraction on St. Kitts. It's a tiny stretch of land between the Atlantic ocean on one side and Caribbean sea on the other.
It's convenient to stop when driving from Basseterre towards the southern island's point at Cockleshel beach. Bear in mind it's very popular, so there'll be many buses, mini vans and people there, specially if it's a cruise day.

Great views of the Atlantic Ocen on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other and they are just divided by a road and small area of land. A nice drive up and views of resorts and homes on the way. There are a few stalls there and the trinkets were cheaper here than anywhere else

This overlook on St. Kitts is strategically located on Timothy Hill with its great vantage point to see the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean on the other. A cruise ship had landed that day in Port Zante so there were many buses in a small parking lot sized space together with vendors selling souvenirs and assorted refreshments and snacks. The view is great from up there - you can clearly see the distinction in the bodies of water and Cockleshell Beach and other vistas.

Timothy Hill was a stop on our shore excursion, which was a tour of the island of St. Kitts in a van. The view is very pretty. They have a few vendors set up with tired souvenirs, some snacks and drinks. There are big rocks you can sit on for photo ops, which are great pictures. There were men with live monkeys who were having people hold the monkeys to take photos.

We visited the area as a shore excursion. It's a beautiful drive to get there and views are amazing with the Atlantic on one side, the Pacific on the other. Lots of millionaire homes in the area. There were stalls that sold trinkets at the top along with a couple of men taking pictures of you and their monkeys.

This isn't somewhere you should expect to spend a long time, but it is absolutely worth visiting.
This is a small little roadside turn off at the top of the hill with a parking lot and some viewpoints. If you look southeast down the peninsula towards Nevis, you get a unique view of both the Atlantic and Caribbean on either side. Looking North you can see the beautiful and picturesque Frigate Bay.

Oh wow. What a view.
We were actually staying at Timothy Beach, so we headed out straight after breakfast. At the roundabout at the end of the road, we took the steep walk up the road. Then on the right as you are walking up we found a single road track which took us to the views. It really is steep walk up to the top. Took about 25 minutes! What stunning views. Its not very shaded, that’s the main reason we walked there early morning. It was a lot quicker walking down, however it’s hard to walk down certain parts because of the incline. I wouldn’t want to even attempt to take a vehicle the way we walked.
So glad we saw the stunning views whilst in St Kitts, and it didn’t cost us a penny.

What a beautiful place to stop and just admire the view. You can see the Atlantic on the left and the Caribbean on the right and Nevis looming in the background. There are local vendors selling their goods, a donkey to sit on and a guy with little Green Monkeys that will let you hold them for a price $10. It's all part of the experience.

My husband and I rented a car and drove to Timothy hill overlook first. It’s a simple small parking lot at the top of the hill before the tunnel. There are some great views there. If you have any mobility issues that’s where you want to visit. If you want to get to the top of the hill (Caribbean side) then head back down the hill (north) and just before you hit the bottom there’s a small slightly overgrown single car lane that cuts sharply up the hill. Be cautious taking a rental car up, there are occasional large (head) sized rocks on the road and it’s very steep. The top parking area is rocky as well. You will however get a great view with an awesome sunset. (Photo is view from the overlook)

I doubt it - It the main road to the south of the island that has the lay-by/viewpoint at the top - didn’t see any tracks up there...

We are planning on doing a small vow renewal here first thing in the morning from our cruise ship. Is this a good spot and time? We don’t want to bother other visitors, we fell in love with the view and the idea of the two oceans in the background

I agree with the other reviews, If you can get there early in the morning, it is not crowded, and I am sure if people see what is going on, they will be polite. If you go even late morning or early after noon, the place is packed with buses and people. Not very romantic.

We are cruising in April and one of the stops is St Kitts. Were you on a cruise with a guided tour, (cruise ship) or did you take a tour yourself.
Is this a tour of the Island, with Timothy Hill being one of the stops? Any information would be appreciate.
Thank you

May I take a taxi from cruise port to visit tomothy hill ?

No, it is so beautiful. You cannot decide which way to look because every direction has beautiful scenery. If you do not like winding roads you might not like this climb. I usually do not like them but the beauty that I got to take pictures of made it amazing.
