If you are coming into the island from a cruise, have the Cab driver take you to South Friars and go to Discovery Beach Bar for beach chairs, drinks and amazing food!

The views from this beach are great. We were dropped off at the Carambola beach club which had nice facilities and an excellent view of the mountains at the other end of the beach. There was more seaweed than I prefer but the water was...More

Lots of little bars to pass the time in this attractive beach, water is lovely but watch out for spiney sea urchins. Easy to get too and some nice fish to see.

We really enjoyed this taxi ride from the Port. It was a fairly quiet beach along with many other Cruise peeps. Good snorkeling. Our older son and my husband saw some sea anemones and many tropical fish. There was a resort with bathroom and drink...More

Went here for lunch at the Shipwreck Bar and stayed to snorkel. As noted in other reviews, the beach is pretty narrow but it's long and very nice and the snorkeling was pretty good. A nice out of the way place to snorkel (long way...More

This is a small beach, so arrive early to claim your beachfront location. The water is clear and beautiful, and the beach sand is kept clean by rake and attention to the small details. The Shipwreck Bar and Grill is located on site, so there...More

Long sandy beach that is not particularly good for swimming along its whole length due to rocky outcrops in the water. Sea Urchins are prevalent at one end of the beach so great care is needed when swimming and diving. The other end has the...More

Very pretty beach away from crowds. Waves were calm, water was clear, and snorkeling was fun. Rented two chairs and an umbrella from Carambola Beach Club for $30. There was food and bar available. Short taxi ride from cruise port.

Most people swim near the Carambola Beach Club. I think the beach may be a little nicer on that end. It is a nice easy 5 minute walk to Shipwreck Bar & Grill along the beach.

It's not terribly far but it's well worth the trip, in my opinion. You get to see a good portion of the island while driving from the fortress to that particular beach. If you drive straight there I believe it would be 45... More
