Pretty, well maintained center of the capital of Nevis. Very pretty decorated for the holiday season. On Friday nights it is very crowded and music fills the air. A fun stop in Charlestown.

We were lucky enough to be here when the Culturama festival was on & Memorial Square is the focal point for a lot of the events, such as Poets in the Square, steel bands, clown dancing etc. On other days it is just a good place to sit under the trees out of the sun and watch people going about... More

if you love people watching and have nothing else to do...then sitting in the square and soaking up the environment is a good time filler.....although its surrounded by traffic and the accompanying exhaust smells etc....many locals find time to sit and cogitate or to meet here and to eat lunch or have a drink...its shady and has a few artifacts... More

Memorial Square is worth seeing if you are in Charlestown anyway, perhaps because you just got off the ferry from St. Kitts. This town square is not a world-class attraction, but it is the center of Charlestown, which is the capital of Nevis, and a lot of the 18th and 19th century style and spirit of the town is still... More

WWI memorial. Nothing to write home about! Adjacent to the local bus/taxi depot. The centre of town. General dealer type supermarket with Chinese restaurant on one side of tri-angle and another Chinese restaurant on the other side of the road. There was a bank with ATM, which I used to draw money, but later on found another ATM that didn't... More
