Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited this monastery as part of a ship shore excursion. The views were spectacular. The church is very peaceful and a nice place for prayer and meditation. There is also a well stocked gift shop (which accepts credit cards). The monastery is located in a very serene location in the mountains. We very much enjoyed our visit!

The church is very beautiful both on the out and in. The gift shop was amazing they had a lot of variety of catholic stuff for your everyday needs. The PAX yogurt was amazing as always I would recommend you try it.

I visited with my grandparents for the afternoon tea. The drive up was beautiful, a steady, winding road with amazing views to enjoy. The area is simple and authentic, we did not go beyond the surroundings of the tea room. We enjoyed the entire room to ourselves, it was open, airy and profoundly quiet. A beautiful breeze flowed through the room throughout our experience, it was so wonderful. The open doors lead to a patio overlooking the tropical valley, it was perfectly framed from our table. We enjoyed tea and little sandwiches and desserts. It was a serene, beautiful and peaceful space to spend quality time with my sister and grandparents. The next time I’m there I’ll look to explore the other areas of the grounds.

We ended up there at sunset and really loved the sun going down in the horizon, and the city lights coming on as the night was fastly approaching. The Monastery is beautiful, and the small Chapel inside really cute and quaint.

Father Marius is a wonderful character who tends to the animals he cares for and if you’re lucky you can catch him for a blessing If he sees warmth and grace in your eyes… We spent a lovely afternoon at the monastery and roamed the peaceful grounds!

This place was a convenient walk from the PAX guest house where we were staying. We peeked inside the nice little church that is usually open. There is also a cute gift shop with Mt St. Benedict souvenirs and religious objects. Next to the gift shop is a little snack shop with some pound cake, chips, and yoghurt made by the monks there. Outside there is an excellent view with a row of benches where it was nice to eat a snack.
