While the parking is limited it's free! The water is beautiful and not as rough as Maracas. Some minor maintenance work required for the surroundings but overall I prefer this spot. Try going very early, avoid public holidays and you will have a good experience. Peaceful and enjoyable. And for fresh fish drive down 1 minute further to the Blanchiesseuse... More

Rented an apt thru airbnb not far from las cuevas beach while visiting Trinidad. The beach is just beautiful. Life guards on duty and small cafeteria on site for food and drinks. There was a vendor there selling hand made items necklaces, bracelets etc. The water was awesome nice and warm crystal clear.

one of the few places in Trinidad that hasnt changed much and still holds all it's charm. The beach is at most times calm and wonderful to get into, safe area, change hut for $1TT/15c US lol yes that's true. A snack shop. Clean, good parking. A gem, recommend

Loooooove this beach. The waters are clear and clean. Such a relaxing beach should you choose not to bathe, you can lay on the sand, umbrella up and enjoy.

Las cuevas beach is a crescent on the bay of the same name. There is parking on site. Walk down to get to the beach. The beach is wide and has fine sand. The cliffs and rock formations along the curve of the beach have interesting shapes and caves. The eastern part close to the parking area had quite a... More

Smaller beach than Maracas but much more picturesque and less crowded. You can see fishermen' boats that add character. You can rent chairs there as well, the cafe is smaller but will keep you supplied with beers and other drinks. They also have some choice of food.

A great place to go spend a day. Not too busy and it had plenty of little coves to hide out in if it does get busy. There are nice restaurants nearby and some little souvenir booths as well. Highly recommend.
