Maracas Beach is not just about the beach. The drive is spectacular. There is the mandatory lookout stop for amazing pics and local delicacies. Then there is the beach, the anticipation when you descend into the Bay area, the aromas, the sights, the sounds. Of course there is the bake and shark too. The beach has the most renewing and... Maracas Beach is definitely the most popular beach in Trinidad. The water is beautiful. The sand is clean. There aren't alot of critters. And the country is trying its best to build up tourism for that beach. Although it definitely has it's flaws. The award winning food called Bake n' Shark, which should definitely NOT be missed, has taken over... More

Took a drive to see the beach, nice but nothing special. Lots of dead fish washed up on the beach. Some decent food stalls across the street.

Every Trina will tell you, this area is a must see. Maracas Beach, which is on this bay, gets all the top billing, but the area is priceless. Take the time to drive around it and stop and check out views from different spots. Any time you spend here you will enjoy, but start early and hit it all.

Early morning is beautiful here...Just looking at the surfers and the aroma of bake and shark filling the air. Such beautiful scenery. One of the best beaches to visit.

This is one of the best beaches in Trinidad. Also on this beach we have a food outlet by the name of Richards Bake and Shark. Mmmm. A great spot to relax, soak up some sun and surf. And the icing, visit Richard's and have a bake and shark with the endless toppings.

Maracas Bay is world known for the ever famous bake and shark, a local fried bread with pieces of fried shark(yes you heard right!). To partake of this scrumptious bake and shark Maracas Bay is the place to be, there's the ever famous Richard's and a few other not so popular vendors selling this heavenly sandwich. Aside from the food,... More

Maybe we missed something, but there was nothing really much to do. The only hotel there was really expensive and basic at that. The beach is ok for a stop, but not worth going for a stay or longer.

Beautiful Sandy Beach, Lovely people and great food. If you love the sea this is the place to be. The sand is soft, the water is warm and clear. Great time for everyone from toddler to their Grand parents

Love to just sit and eat a Bake and Shark from Natalie…Enjoy the surf or just a walk along. Just dont leave your stuff too long on the sand..
