Snorkeled Bight reef around 11:00. It was rather windy and the water churned up so visibility was not the greatest. Recommend to enter on your left (looking toward ocean) and start where the sea grass is. We saw about 6 turtles eating the grass and surfacing for air. Then work your way around the roped off area clockwise. Recommend this... More

We visited Bight Reef in 2012 and it was INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL. Four years later in 2016...something is wrong. The reef looks sick. The color was pale and there weren't nearly as many fish as our previous visit. So disappointing. I hope the reef is able to repair itself. So sad.

We have been snorkeling twice at the Bight Reef. It is less windy than the Smith Reef since it is more protected. There is an area of recovery for the corals marked by orange boies. This area you cannot snorkel in it, but you can do it around it. That is quite good because this recovering reef attracts many fishes.... More

The corals and fish are pretty much as good as the ones you can see when you go on the boat tour - barracudas, giant lobsters and rays are pretty much guaranteed, turtles are a bit rare. It's easy to get to and, depending on the weather conditions can be a very easy swim. But sometimes the currants and tides... More

You cannot believe the fish diversity you will find at this reef just next to the shore. I am a scuba diver and I was really impressed

Small reef areas between grassy sand. Average reef fish no turtles or large fish during an hour and a half swim. Caymans were far superior for fish sightings but water was clear and warm so a great day!

It is easy to get to, just in front of Coral Garden. There was a rope that surround the reef and we were to snorkel around it and not in it. More to see further away. We saw turtle and many colorful fishes.

We went without the kids and it was ok. It's great to go with the kids but don't be fooled...you need life vests for at least the kids because it is bigger than it looks from the beach! If you go super early, around 7am, there's a great chance you will see a sea turtle or 2, but they tend... More

amazing snorkeling, nice reef very near the shore. coral, lots of fish and several turtles! some conservation going on here so not all the reef is accessible but this did not detract from the experience. this is some of the best snorkeling i have done.

It is good to be able to swim near the beach and see a reef. This reef seems to go by Bight Reef or Coral Gardens Reef. There were small and big colourful fishes. However the reef seems to be suffering in health. Mostly rock. It seems to have suffered bleaching. There is a circle where you are not supposed... More
